Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 79

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. Let's wear flak jacket of Al Kahf and beef up our defences against our invisible enemy at large.
Just to recap. There are four major stories in Al Kahf which can have life altering effects on thinking minds and conscious souls. First: the story of our Heroes, The Kahf Boys who stood up for Tauheed and made eternal by Allah swt in this Surah. Second: 'Men of Two Gardens', a story about human love of material possessions and consequent hubris. Third: story of Musa & Khizar AS about human impatience and lack of knowledge. We are heading towards the end of this story in  next three Ayahs i.e. by Ayah No 82. Fourth: The story of Zulqarnain which is about power and establishment of Islam's writ on earth. All four stories are relevant to our world today.

1. Tauheed is under attack by Atheism and other isms.
2. Rat race in relentless pursuit of material possessions has nearly blinded humanity.
3. We as specie are under false impression that we know but in reality we know not.
4. Fourth and final stage of establishing writ of Islam is about to begin. Appearance of Dajjal, Al Mehdi, descending of Christ and Gog Mgog are to follow to take this amazing story of human sojourn to its climax. Armageddon has to be the fitting end of the story authored by The Master Planner, Architect and Storyteller, Allah swt who taught our perceptions how to conceive a story and nurtured our imaginations to adapt to the craft of story telling.
Now to today's Ayah No 79. To recap, three incidents took place during eventful journey took on  by Musa & Khizar AS. Musa AS couldn't keep up with terms of the journey and they had to call it off. However, Khizar AS promised to explain the wisdom behind all three incident that took place enroute.
First was damaging a ship with people on board (Ayah No 71). Reason was that a tyrant king at the other bank was confiscating all the ships in good condition. But little damage to the ship would save those poor people their source of income. Without further explanation, I leave it your imagination to recall those countless incidents in your life where you suffered little loss of time, money or physical injury and felt bad about it. First of all, seek Allah's mercy for those few moments of ingratitude. Secondly, thank Allah that He saved you much much greater damage or loss by inflicting a smaller injury or minor loss.
Subhan Allah.
Alhamdolillah.

PMC (Pakistan Medical Commission) is up against cannibals

Mother bears, felines, canids, primates, and many species of rodents—from rats to prairie dogs—have all been seen killing and eating their young. Add PDM to the list and family of cannibals should be rounded off.
Technical details of PMC (Pakistan Medical Commission) & PMDC saga are all over the internet. But there is one point that layman must know that this badmouth, unschooled and empty headed Qadir Patel of PPP who has been appointed Federal Minister for Ministry of National Health  Services, Regulation and Coordination on 19 April 2022 at the back of a massive robbery in the history of Pakistan is out to eat our kids.
Remember Dr Asim Hussain of PPP as Chairman of PMDC and a multi billion robbery and NAB inquiry in 2015. Allegedly, this front man of Zardari was worth 88 Billion USD, the unofficial, undeclared richest man under the sky. Imagine what would be the worth of his master AAZ.
Goldmine was PMDC and miner was Dr Asim Hussain. Now those vultures are back in power with 'invisible' help. And they are in real hurry to make hey while the sunshines over PDM for a short while.
Why I chose to write on PMC? It consists of honest Pakistani doctors who gave up their lives of luxury to serve their nation. This commission has introduced merit and transparency in medical profession. MDCAT in the beginning & NLE on completion of MBBS brought huge respect and transparency in the system. So much so, WFME (World Federation for Medical Education) gave our medical graduates thumbs up in coming year.
However, PPP sees it as closure of the Goldmine. Previously, they used to charge huge sums from private Medical Colleges including ghost colleges and used to sell MBBS Degrees' quota and degrees. Renewal of Drs' licences had a cost. Not to mention bribes in kind.  And there were million other ways to make another Billion. Now they desperately want to quash PMC. They are doing all they can to postpone and if possible cancel MDCAT planned in September 2022.
Why it bothers me because our kids will lose international accreditation. Value of Pakstani MBBS would come to naught. Those who want to specialise abroad to serve their nation on return wouldn't be able to do so. Quality of doctors will surely take a nosedive. Consequently, people will not get the right treatment. Now think of kids. Think of your own kids getting treatment at the hands of an amateur. Likewise, so many other ills will resurface once again.
I only pray that we could somehow prevent cannibals of PDM from eating our kids. May Allah help Pakistan and its future. Ameen

Prostitution of the Intellect

 Copied.

John Swinton, former Chief of Staff of the most powerful and prestigious newspaper on earth, The New York Times, when asked to give a toast to the "free press" at the New York Press Club stated:

"There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with.

Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone.

The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men.

*"We are intellectual prostitutes."*

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 78

Assalam o Alaikum  Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. Al Kahf Time.
It's special mercy of Allah swt that my wish is granted and today's blog entry is being written in Mata'af (مطعف) in front of Kaaba Sharif. Allah Karim.
So Today's Ayah No 78 is reply of Khizar AS to reaction of Musa AS from previous Ayah. Both greats had come across inhospitable people. Notwithstanding their unfriendly behaviour, Khizar AS began to repair a damaged wall in their town. Musa AS known for his sincere spontaneity suggested that he (Khizar AS) could have asked for some wager. The idea was right but it was in contravention with the agreement of journey that Musa AS wouldn't speak unless asked. However, as predicted by Khizar AS, Musa AS couldn’t keep patience for consecutive third time. Durring last incident when a young boy was killed by Khizar AS, Musa AS had assured that if he violated the agreement next time, they should part ways.
So it happened. Without much ado, Khizar AS announced that it was time. He also assured that wisdom behind those three incidents shall be explained before goodbye.
Going back to the genesis of this story, it alk began with someone asking Musa AS about the most learned man under the sky. Musa AS considering his status and personal rapport with Allah swt  replied it could be him. However, Allah swt through Musa AS had to make us understand that human patience and knowledge is limited because only Allah swt knows the whole Truth.
Next week we meet again with brand new Ayah, Insha Allah.

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 77

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak.
Purpose of sharing weakly commentary on an Ayah is to stay connected with magnificent Quran and amazing Al Kahf. The more we delve deep in it, the deeper it gets. The more we learn about it, the lesser it feels. It contains stacks of knowledge. The moment one feels to get the grip of the content, another intriguing layer of knowledge surfaces. Personally, it feels that a lifetime isn't enough to explore this Surah.
Today's Ayah No 77 is part of Musa & Khizar AS' story wherein both greats set off on an eventful journey after agreeing on certain terms. It seemed as if Khizar AS was determined to implement terms of journey and Musa AS had also rendered an affidavit of compliance or else to part ways.
Ayah starts with beautiful word (فانطلقا)which may be translated as 'here they go once again'. Rest of the Ayah is simple and self explanatory. They reach a town where inhospitable people refused them food. They come across a wall about to collapse and Khizar AS restored it. Musa AS in his sincere spontaneity suggested not to do it for free in an unfriendly town. He might have been right but it was  violation of the agreement, yet again. How Khizar AS responded? Did they continue their journey? What was reason of restoring that collapsing wall?
Answers to these questions might have to wait for another week.
Alhamdolillah, this Blog entry has been shared from Nabvi, Medina. You are in prayers .

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 76

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. A polite reminder to recite part or whole of Al Kahf.
Al Kahf is a true story with high paced action and a Sci-fi thriller.
Take for example today's Ayah No 76. It feels that we are sitting at the edges of theater seats and getting infatuated with conversation between two of Allah’s special ones. Hazart Musa AS, among the greatest Rasools of Allah who had achieved unthinkable by Allah’s accord. Gave up life of royalty. Liberated Bani Israel from cruel clutches of Pharaoh. Lead Bani Israel (mostly ungratful and unreliable) through ruthless Sinai Desert. Ten Commandments descended upon him. He got to talk to Allah swt in one-on-one situation. With this CV, some asked who was the most learned man under the sky. His answer was not far from truth in his best judgment that it could be him. But Allah swt had to teach us a lesson through him and Khizar AS that our accumulative knowledge as specie is very limited. Look at Khizar AS, who Allah swt claimed to be his aide whom He swt bestowed with special knowledge. Musa AS not only accepted him superior in knowledge but set out on a journey with him to learn from Khizar AS. The condition was that Musa AS would quietly observe the happenings along the way.
But Musa AS for the second time couldn't keep his spontaneity in the face of human misery i.e. drowning of a boat with people on board and cold murder of a young man. In previous Ayah, Khizar AS reminded him that he wouldn't be able to keep patience as was told in the beginning. Probably because as a chosen one with a particular mission and special knowledge, Khizar AS knew about hazards of his  profession. However, instead of arguing, Musa AS for the second time  accepted his honest mistake and gave him assurance that if the same was repeated, Khizar AS might part ways wuth him. And this time, Musa AS appeared firm in his word.
For us there are few priceless lessons in this conversation:
1. To human is to err.
2. If as great a Rasool as Musa AS is prone to forgetting things then we are definitely forgetful.
2. We must always keep room for honest mistakes.
3. We should be a able to forgive.
4. Accept mistakes.
5. Accountability on mistakes shall be proportionate.
6. There should be a limit to honest mistakes. On second time, if Musa AS gave a word with a price tag i.e parting ways, then we should also readily & willingly accept to pay the price of repeated honest mistakes.

May Allah be our guide. Ameen
