Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 9

1619682461361797-0.png.jpg

Assalam o Alaikum. Juma Mubarak. A polite reminder for reciting Al Kahf or first and last Rukuh on this blessed day.

All signs of Allah swt are amazing but story of ‘Men of The Cave’ is wonderfully awesome. Unfortunately, we have totally lost sight of our real heroes i.e. Wonder Boys of The Cave’. Our plight is that we are only familiar with crappy Hollywood wonder girls and boys. We have learnt to believe fictional stories crafted by human minds inspired by the devil to prepare them for the arrival of Dajjal. We have an obligation towards fighting this indoctrination through awareness. Refreshing this remarkable story told by no one else but The King of heavens and earth himself - Allah swt, is extremely important. This story is about standing up for oneness of Allah in times of raging polytheism and deviation in deen of Allah.

In year 250 AD, adoption of Christianity by Polytheist Romans commissioned a newer yet deadly variant of religion wherein beloved Prophet Isa (Jesus Christ) Alaihe Salam was declared son of God or God incarnate. The concept is so confusing to fathom: if Jesus is God then who was perched in heavens when Isa AS came down. And if they are two, the God and the son, then Oneness is already compromised. Thank Allah swt for giving us gift of Surah Alkhlas which settled this confusion once and for all.

Firstly, the relevance of story with our religion: Chronology is important to understand the whole matter and its relevance with our religion, present times and end of times. Men of The Cave slept for 300 years which means they got up around year 550 AD. So, the stage was set for humanity to revert back to its lost heritage i.e. Oneness of Allah. It just needed one last logical manual to stick to it till the end of times. And our Beloved Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him graced this world in year 571 AD. A time when Arabs were mired in the plague of polytheism.

Secondly, the resemblance of story with our times: Look around Godlessness is rampant. Catholic Church has tightened its clutches around Christianity. New sects of Christianity continue to emerge. Except Orthodox Christianity, all of them are misleading humanity from its real course i.e. Oneness of Allah. The only difference from year 250 AD is that sicne second half of 20th Caentury, polytheism has joined hands with atheism. Check out the consistency of Oneness against changing ‘isms’ of devil. Take for example, growing gender identity crisis and Woke culture. Dajl (Deceit) has been able to take strong roots. Confusion has never been so captivating that despite having full and free access to the Truth (The Book), we get sucked in to uncertainty and fictitious falsifications. Access to unnecessary information through media and internet are fundamental reasons.

Thirdly, relevance of this story with the end of times. There are four stages to the end of times in same order in which all four stories appear in Al Kahf. We shall build our case as the Surah progresses.

Only Allah knows the whole Truth

Attock - Jail & Politics : Part 2

Most politicians of Attock are mere stooges who have mortgaged their politics to perpetuate their corrupt practices. All of them are the same. If some are mentioned here, it wouldn’t mean rest were any better. In my early years, it was so hard to reconcile with the fact that imported PM Shoukat Aziz, even Pervez Elahi and son in law of Major Tahir Sadiq - none of whom belonged to Attock or have any business with the people of Attock- contested elections & got elected from Attock. The district was used by the powerful & their cohort outlanders like opulent hire escorts services for short stays in foreign lands. Let’s dissect one odd case. Take for example a local sample in Malik Amin Aslam. He has to be viewed as a mix of Hamza, Bilawal & Mariam however not as dumb as first & last among these three. For impoverished people of a far-flung district, Amin Aslam and likes become idols. People would give rave reviews about this ‘born politician’ for his family background, education and ability to speak well on environment. Let’s breakdown his credentials. Family background - his father Malik Muhammad Aslam had been in politics since Ayub Khan till Zia Ul Haq. Primarily, a man who kept his allegiance with the King’s Party. Amin Aslam married into political family of Gujrat and got ticket of Q league in Musharraf Reign. So, like father like son - he joined next ‘projec’ - PTI/IK, enjoyed ministerial status without being elected and jumped the ship on first given instance. Now his ability to speak on environment - for political elite, connections earn them a fortune.  There is little hesitation in investing in their education and ‘grooming’. Hence, a student of Alma Maters like Aitchison College, UET Lahore & Oxford UK, if he cannot speak on the ministry he heads then who will. Such tailor-made opportunists are ideal for the job. They are smart, presentable and above all ‘loyal’. Their ‘quality’ to switch hats when required or abandon the ship when directed makes them valuable assets.

At provincial level, Bukharis of PTI are also monitoring the situation closely and their first slice in Ijaz Bukhari & Khawar Bukhari have already held a press conference declaring disassociation with PTI. Funny enough, they are real cousins and uncle of Zulfi Bukhari, son of Wajid Bukhari who was imported from UK and bestowed upon two ministries in Musharraf Era. Rest is all clear and evident as daylight, how politics works in ours.

To conclude, Attock is Pakistan. The day fortunes of Attock changed, fortune of Pakistan will also change for good. When instead of making headlines for hosting ex PMs in its Fort or Jail, Attock grabbed headlines for its natural and human potential, the fortunes will change. Also next time, anyone who shows or shares the dream of change with this country and my district, political parties must give tickets to people with least amount of baggage (honest and less affluent) so that they stand the test of time.

May Allah change the fortunes of Attock and Pakistan for good. Ameen

Attock - Jail & Politics : Part 1

Post Premiership, our PMs get a tour of Attock - place of my birth. Lately, people are getting familiar with the name of remote and poor District of Attock for hosting IK in its jail. In year 2000, when MNS was incarcerated at Attock Fort, Attock made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Shift of focus from Attock Fort to Attock Jail has to do with ‘level playing field’ and a pathetic attempt to make it all look democratic and constitutional whereas the reality is exactly opposite. However, we can call this paradigm shift from Fort to Jail as our democratic evolution. Previously, the control over the country was exercised quite blatantly & unequivocally, however, now it’s within the bounds of constitution which ironically has already been abrogated.

It wouldn’t be far from reality to extrapolate that Attock is the microcosm of Pakistan. Rich land, people are stiff, gritty & hospitable, low literacy, backward in terms of development, no economic activity like manufacturing, construction or tourism, rain dependent agriculture (Barani), every second household has an expatriate family member all across the globe (mostly labourers and few skilled workers), land owned by those who polished British boots real well like rest of Punjab, best breed is clerks and soldiers because of lack of inland employment opportunities, hosts numerous sensitive installations from bomb factories to airbase, beautiful fauna and flora, mountains, rivers & wildlife, top of the line cattle, abundant minerals, oil & gas functional wells & reserves and list goes on. If I missed out on any of the traits, my countrymen can fill me in with that. Like the country, the district is poor. People are even poorer.

Next question should be why? By now we all know why Pakistan couldn’t progress. Same is the reason this district didn’t prosper. There is a stranglehold on its resources by the powerful mafias.

Another partial reason is the people’s representatives. Politics is the sport of rich. Eight families would always play a prominent role rather musical chair in general elections: Khatar, Qazi, Sheikh, Malik, Khan, Kunda, Kamrial and Khanzada. They have to have a fortune to be able to reach out to the people on their ‘khushi & ghami’. But problem with fortune is that behind every fortune there is a crime. As a tradition, in our country dossiers are maintained against the notables. These dossiers contain proofs of their financial corruption or immoral activities.  For their compromised status, they are most ‘useful’ running affairs of the state than being kept behind the bars. They are put behind bars as and when needed particularly when there is remote possibility of them crossing the defined lines. Mostly, they cave in quite cheap as it works with little arm twisting.

Pak - US bondage - Part 3

With IK removed from the election process and the PTI virtually dismantled, efforts are underway to lure Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan by his ‘lil pimp bro’ Shahbaz Sharif & other prominent slaves of Washington. However, Nawaz remains unsure and reason why the dates for his return keep changing despite offers of whitewashing his crimes and the Sharif family’s looting of Pakistan - befitting reward for ‘loyalty’. For both Washington and its local cronies require political cover and legitimisation as a facade for what is in actual reality an ‘imperium in imperio’ in Pakistan.

This is the facade of Pakistan, a nation continuously pimped out to Washington and systematically destroyed and held back for decades by its  ‘leadership’. For it is a tragedy that two nations formed in 1947 through British design, one is being congratulated by the other for space exploits and a moon landing, whilst the other degenerates and continues to fall in a pit-less abyss. For the first time, there is no silver lining to be seen and total gloom in the tunnel apart from Allah’s help. But do we deserve ‘Nusra’?

Pakistan now faces further combustion with the issue of its religious minorities, targeted specifically by Washington to provide Modi with an alibi, defence and retort against Pakistan’s criticism of Hindu excesses in India. It encourages  Modi to go forward with another false flag or low intensity campaign for political mileage in upcoming elections. Conditions are so ripe for such an eventuality at least on our side of the border. Washington’s desire to take on ‘Barbarians’ on West in Afghanistan could be a double jeopardy for us. In this case, double jeopardy would be an understatement.

There is no escape for Pakistan from its blackhole unless there is wholesale liquidation of Washington’s men from Pakistan along with Washington’s removal from Pakistan’s soil. This removal can only come from within.

It can and will happen with Allah’s will. For this is not only Pakistan’s but Allah’s cause. For those who standby and watch but have the power, they should know that one thing is certain, they will face Allah and have nothing to say except that they were cowards who became slaves to Washington by default and lost their faith in the process for a worldly price of no significance compared to the hereafter. And they forget that their lives are limited and they will be forgotten, and will be cursed as slaves by coming generations when Allah delivers the victory by those who will respond to Allah.For fear, slavery and subjugation to Washington is a clear abandonment of faith in Allah and HIS power. Allah’s promise of removing such cowardly people who fight their own people to please Washington  is clear when HE swt warns;

“O you who have attained to faith! If you ever abandon your faith," God will in time bring forth [in your stead] people whom He loves and who love Him - humble towards the believers, proud towards all who deny the truth: [people] who strive hard in God's cause, and do not fear to be censured by anyone who might censure them: such is God's favour, which He grants unto whom He wills. And God is infinite, all-knowing” [Maidah:54]

And Allah does not break HIS promise.

May Allah protect Pakistan by replacing the faithless slaves and cowards from amongst us - Ameen

Pak-US bondage -Part 2

There is no need to analyse the caretaker government or its leader Kakar as it has been selected by Washington and her procurers to provide the false umbrella of political independence and constitutionality in order to facilitate American takeover of the economy through the IMF and the sale of Pakistan as well as prepare the ground for another theatre of elections with Washington’s usual candidates which are kept on ice such as Nawaz Sharif and the new kid on the block - Bilawal Zardari or Bhutto. This was clear when Blome met Kakar this week and instructed the caretaker government clearly that “ it should hold elections and follow the economic conditions and program of the IMF”.

It took my thickhead three decades (two in uniform and one after doffing it) to decipher what actually was happening to us. Narrative of corruption was built against politicians during late nineties and on the turn of millennia. We got convinced to the core that root cause our misery was ‘dearth of men’ and politicians were to be blamed for it. Then we get introduced to new political face and idea which promised change like never before, albeit it was another ‘project’. Like, previous projects, it had a shelf life after which it had to be shelved. The right time to shelf such projects is when the ‘subject’ starts to assert him/  herself. When they know too much and start signalling propensity to betray the masters home and abroad. Not only Washington demands full submission of politicians but the go-between power hub also demands total submission of political leaders - a problem downrightly detested by Washington. ZA Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto were extinguished due to their refusal whereas, Nawaz Sharif and now Imran Khan have been punished and put on ice pending their submission, as Washington still requires tried, tested and loyal political leaders. So this power play between masters and middle-men over slaves (politicians + nation) continues on cost benefit based analysis. For example, Nawaz Sharif was saved from the wrath of Pervez Musharraf by Saudi intervention who whisked him away, and throughout  Imran Khan’s tenure Washington ensured that executioners stick to ‘constitutional means” in dealing with him. However, despite their wholehearted readiness to remain Washington’s poodles, real hurdle for ‘acceptance’ of PPP and PML (N) is their leadership’s dislike and unwillingness to remain puppets of local masters.

In the hindsight, politicians (all of them) apart from skilful demolition of their counterparts are innocent people. Again, I personally feel extremely sorry for demonising them falling prey to the ‘narrative’. Ironically, not abiding by the narrative back then and even now would mean treacherous rather traitorous act.

Part 3 to follow.

Pak-US bondage -Part 1

Just like “Mind Your Language’s”Chinese character Chung Su-Lee would always mention The Little Red Book of Mao every time she spoke, my Pakistani pal (PhD in International Affairs from UK) would always mention US in every matter pertaining to Pakistan. I would always disregard his assertions as conspiracy theories and would disdainfully mock him for his US-phobic condition. I came to regret my attitude towards him just like I am remorseful for hurling insults at people like Asma Jehangir, Aisha Siddiqua and even Emaan Mazari. Hope this confession absolves me from my guilt as I was sincere and loyal to Pakistan back then as I am now apart from change in perspective. Pakistan is not the place I knew. It has become an American Colony. Pak-US bondage is real and not only goes long way back, it shall persist in times to come.

As it stands, Pakistan is proceeding as per American plan. The American viceroy, ambassador Donal Blome’s meeting with the Election Commission chief underscores the absence of Pakistan’s sovereignty. There is no subliminal messaging in these matters. It all is happening so blatantly and shamelessly that one fails to associate logic, sanity or rationality to it. Throng of cowards is masquerading as leaders of Pakistan. Blome’s meeting with the CEC is nothing but internal interference and the silence of the American pimps over this moot is deafening. So it is clear who is actually running Pakistan if anyone had any doubt. There is of course after the double speak by the Americans on jailing of Imran Khan stating that “America does not interfere in a country’s internal situation”. You would have to have amnesia or Parkinson’s disease to be forgiven for believing this nonsense. Not to mention, American silence on recent draconian constitutional amendments by outgoing government of crime cronies. Implying Washington’s total consent and instructions.

Part 2 to follow.

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 8

Assalam o alaikum. Juma Mubarak. Al Kahf day is back after seven days. A humble reminder for recitation of Al Kahf or part of it today. If possible try and develop understanding of this amazing Surah.

As usual, this Ayah (No 8) is sequel of previous Ayah(No 7). Earth/ universe was created out of nothing and it is only logical to conclude that at some point in time, it will definitely come to naught. Just the way it all began out of nothing with one word of command by Allah swt, it will all end in to nothing in no time. Like a hand grenade, an appointed angel on an appointed time has to pull the pin of gravity and the universe will implode. In the meantime, however, Allah swt has adorned this earth for us to enjoy our sojourn.

In this Ayah No 8, Allah swt is alluding towards insignificance of this world. No matter how attractive it may appear to us, how precious we think everything is therein, Allah swt will turn it into a barren ground. Hence, know the of real worth of this life. Don't attach your heart to worthless part of the journey of our soul. We all appeared in examinations in life but no one did or could fall in love with examination hall, no matter how cool and cozy it may be. Only those who are well prepared for the test, sail through the exam. And they are the ones who stay calm on the day of result. Good preparation of this on going test as mentioned in previous Ayah is in good deeds. Good deeds only happen when we go out of our comfort zone. Take for example Fajar or Qayam ul Layl; in each case you have let go sweetest part of night sleep. To help others in kind or cash, you have to let go of your money and time. So on and so forth.

May Allah guide us to understand real worth of this life and help us invest our time and resources correctly. Ameen

Red Pilled Pakistani Nation

When I first saw Matrix in 1999 at Bracknell with my platoon mate at Sandhurst, side roommate and friend Guy Boxall, who announced on conclusion of the movie,”Man, I think this is my religion”. I guess he was red pilled by the end of the movie and his confused catholic cum atheist personality found new identity during those 136 minutes of Matrix.

In the hindsight, I guess that was and still is one the best movies of our generation. What we want to take away from it, is totally up to us.

Do watch that Red or Blue Pill moment in the link below:

https://youtu.be/zE7PKRjrid4

Now, what it has to do with this Azadi month weekend? Actually, a lot.

Besides, being synonymous to misogyny, incels and preserver of white supremacy, The Red Pill is also a political metaphor. Who needs this metaphor more than Pakistani nation living in dysphoria. "Taking the red pill" or being "red-pilled" means becoming aware of the political biases inherent in society, including in the mainstream media, and becoming an independent thinker; while "taking the blue pill" or being "blue-pilled" means unquestioningly accepting these supposed biases.

So as people of Pure Land which pill do we take? Funny enough, like every other thing, we are divided on this as well. Most have taken Red Pill which means enlightenment - the hard way. You are practically dragged out of your comfort zone.

Some who prefer to stay in comfort of respective niches, swallow Blue Pill and chill. Ignorance is blissful. Just condemn unfortunate incidents of last quarter and not only you are a certified patriot, you might be offered a ministerial assignment.

Please note that The World Order for the past few centuries has had only one problem with Islam and Muslims - The Political Islam. So may it be Islamic Salvation Front of Algeria which when appeared to be winning a general election in January 1992, a military coup dismantled the party and officially banned it two months later. Or Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt where in 2012 its candidate Mohamed Morsi became Egypt's first president to gain power through an election. A year later, following massive demonstrations and unrest, he was overthrown by the military and placed under house arrest. The group was then banned in Egypt and declared a terrorist organization. Not only this, history is replete with such examples. Don’t go too far, look what happened Pakistan early last year. This wouldn’t make sense to Blue Pilled Pakistanis, so only Red Pilled may make sense out of it. Abu Qasim was good or bad, that is not the debate here. Was he the best choice? That is not the debate either. Why he became outcast? The reasons are very simple and obvious. Can’t judge him otherwise and prima facile he was very expressive in his love for Aqa AS, highlighted need to curtail Islamophobia at International forums, talked about State of Medina (really a bullet for all powerful anti political Islam forces), confronted mafias including the biggest mafia, exactly three years ago this day (20 August 2020), Al Jazeera quoted ‘Pakistani PM said his country will not recognise Israel until there is a Palestinian state acceptable to the Palestinians and not to forget the ‘Absolutely Not’ thing. Also following article of Al Jazeera will also help understand real sentiment of people of Kashmir and interestingly there is always a  traitor ‘Mir’ who would try his best to twist the Truth not telling the world that Prisoner No 804 had conditioned talks with India to reversal of Article 370.

https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2023/8/9/how-people-in-kashmir-reacted-to-imran-khans-jail-sentence-politics-ban

The list is long but these few indicators shall give you a fair measure of Pakistan’s gradual shift from apparently liberal to Political Islam in first half of the last tenure. It had to be stopped in its tracks. It had to be stalled. It had to be toppled.

But in the process, greater part of the nation swallowed the Red Pill. They had no choice. We are almost rock bottom whether governance, economy or morality. They had to take the Red Pill. They did the right thing. Right choices come at a cost. It has been a rough ride since then. It will be taxing. But the problem is that ‘they’ can’t take out The Red Pill running through people’s blood now. Suppression is not helping because perception has changed. And perception is reality.

Only Allah knows the whole Truth.

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 7

Assalam o alaikum. Juma Mubarak and a polite reminder for recitaton and understanding of Al Kahf.

Today’s Ayah is pretty much the thesis of life. Thesis of Quran & central theme of Al Kahf.

Allah for His kindness did not land humans on earth soon after the creation of earth because it was not inhabitable at that time. Immediately after Bang (which happened because of Allah’s will out of nothing - Creation Ex Nihilo) the earth in its early years was in gaseous form. Then it attained solid form and shrunk to present size on cooling down. Then immense rains flooded the world, followed by creation of life on earth. Quran mentions that all life is attributable to water. The dinosaurs and the big quakes took place. Till this point science and Quran are in sync. However, creation of Humans is a serious point of difference. Modern science could not come out of the shadows of Darwin’s evolutionary theory. Though a deeper study of his work would reveal that he never really had the substance to prove that how long it took chimps to transform in to humans and what made it happen? It is quite demeaning to accept as well when Quran declares us the best of creatures in Al Teen.  Anyhow, this Ayah clearly tells us that Allah swt through all the process mentioned above, created ideal living environments on earth for us to live. With our knowledge, progress and development in different fields, life on earth is becoming more and more attractive. With Allah’s help and blessings, quality of life on earth has improved, pretty much turning this world in to a ‘glittering show’ as mentioned in translation above. But there is a downside to the matter. As much as the life becomes attractive, as much we deviate from reason of our existence i.e. to do the best deeds. All the adornment Allah did for us from the point of creation of earth till this day was not just to eat, drink and be merry but it was meant to be a test. A test of our inbuilt goodness to do good realizing the fact that we cannot just go by our urges and desires because we are created much better than the other creatures who succumb to their urges. We must sit down today and figure out what kind of best conduct is mentioned in this Ayah? If we fail this test it will have serious consequences. There will be no looking back, no intercession by our Pir sahib who gives us Taweez for every problem in life. Because on the Day, Pir Sahib may himself be running from pillar to post for his deeds/ misdeeds.

Finally, folks, we have not evolved from monkeys. Allah swt has spread this earth with all its bounties for our service. All the creations on earth are there to facilitate us humans which is Allah’s mercy but there are no free lunches. After having enjoyed all the blessings like food, shelter, clothing, health, wealth, power, position etc, we will be answerable for our conduct. The difference from this world to that world is that here punishment is instant. We over-speed and get a ticket by traffic police, but Allah’s Court will be established once and for all and full HD videos, evidences and statements of witnesses (our own hands, legs, tongue, earth and other creatures) will be shown to us. No excuse. No escape. No friends. No family. None. Just good deeds can come for our rescue on that Day. The whole arrangement is quite logical for those who can relate it with their inbuilt divinity (Noor puffed in every human heart).

May Allah give us strength to do good deeds and protect us from our enemy who is always looking to exploit our vulnerabilities. Ameen

14 August 2023

If you feel you are free, good for you. Only fools celebrate slavery.
Today marks the creation of Pakistan’s concept of independence from the subjugation of colonial rule, from the threat of Hindu domination, and the vision of a great state whose sovereignty and integrity would be protected by blood in the same vein as those that had sacrificed for its creation. This was the vision of Pakistan, the land of the pure, of honour and dignity, that the Almighty had bestowed upon the nation. At that particular time, we had a leader in Jinnah with incorruptible integrity.
Yet, in 2023, it is a land which has no parallel with that vision. It is a land which remains enslaved to colonial rule, to the emerging threat of Hindu domination, and whose sovereignty has been ransomed and with it its dignity, honour and power. This is the meaning of dependence in every shape and form. Now we have leaders with compromised integrity.
Last year 2022, on the night of 13/14 August, just before midnight, we found our spot near Giga Mall, DHA 2 and enjoyed the fireworks. Last night, same event was planned but neither myself nor my kids had any desire to attend the celebrations.  The reason of motivation last year despite  regime change operation, was that there was hope because people had spoken and they were not ready to succumb. But they did give in because of powerful forces. For the first time in my living memory, on birthday of Pakistan, I have feelings of melancholy and sadness.
I have been on the road since early morning today and barely saw Pakistan flag or heard that annoying vuvuzela sound. Institutions struggling to hold Independence Day Celebrations because of uninterested employees and seasonal hawkers whining over record low sales of national flags. Apparently, only beneficiaries (leeches) of current system of governance are having a happy hour. Rest of the nation is either unhappy or very angry.
Installation of Caretaker PM is another sign of things to come. BAP is political courtesan of establishment. No political strings attached. Kakar, the PM despite being a political figure is not even answerable to the people of his constituency. Because if he has to win elections again, he will win as long as he is not out of favour of establishment. Though he is liked by everyone specially by those who matter yet expect nothing good from him except sober political front face of undeclared dictatorship. Like every other opportunist Pakistani, he built an image all these years to reach this office of PM. He has already overachieved. To add to his achievements, he has to do three things. One: Convince himself that he is PM. Two: Bring economy out of tatters. Three: Hold elections on time (overachievement indicator). But like every other person who could raise his head or voice, they either have their filthy videos/ voice messages or some kind of corruption allegation. Likewise, they had filed NAB case against PM Kakar for better arm twisting as and when required. So he is not only a tamed puppy but completely compromised as well. There was one politician whom they couldn’t fix on corruption charges, so they tried to pacify him with threats of his past (mis)adventures as playboy but he didn’t budge and told them every saint had a past and he was not the same person anymore. However, price of this comment is Attock Jail. Part of the reason is also that he was able to break the code of deception. He simply opened the door of Hamam (حمام) where the entire system was standing stark naked.
Politicians, judiciary, executive, nothing else matters in this country except a man with Malacca Cane. Really feel sorry for hating politicians so bad. They can be forgiven. They spend so much money and lick so many boots before assuming high offices that it comes natural to them hurriedly
fill their coffers in given window of opportunity. They know that all powerful corporate company is also occupied with money matters, so why should they not make hay while the sun shines briefly over them. If they sincerely want their favourite slogan of ‘civil supremacy’ be realised, they need to stop hating and fighting each other. But they can’t help it because for them to get back in power they need to sit in establishment’s lap and rip apart their out of favour political opponent.
Since it doesn’t have the feel of a usual Independence Day, we will not revisit our limited achievements of 76 years like World Cup Cricket and Hockey wins, Nuclear Tests etc. Nothing much to show far. We were fed wrongly. We have to go back to our sincerity of intent. Not only back then and even now. However, in the process, we were unkind to people like Asma Jehangir and Ayesha Siddiqua. Asma was like soothsayer and Aysha Siddiqua was very rational in her argumentation. If the company wanted to protect its large corporate interest, it should detach all its businesses from the rest of the country. Let people run Pakistan and you may continue to run your business empire like a state within state. People are not buying your 5/9 as 9/11. On the eve of Independence Day, thousands of people have been arrested and Section 144 implemented which used to be standard PTV headline about Indian Independence Day on 15 August every year. What a pity?
I talked to a flying horse of the ruling institution and told him that perception was not good. He said things are so compartmentalised that we didn’t know who was doing what. Basically, he wasn’t ready to talk about it. These people have become two digits and two decimals of Efficiency Index like 85.76 or 78.55. These figures don’t reflect any morality. Death of morality is in fact acting as catalyst of catastrophe; let’s hope this time instead of Pakistan, the strongest is cut to size.
Even if the regime change operation didn’t leave people unemployed or didn’t take food away from their tables, the level of resentment might have been much lower than what we see now. Who will invest in Pakistan from outside when we ruined the confidence of own people. Though, I believe real estate is not the only sector but at that time only this sector was flourishing. Two years back, an expat invested 100,000 USD (Rs 17,000,000) in a property in Bharia Town. With 30% depreciation, its value is around Rs 12,000,000. Now divide this with current dollar price of 290, out of 1 lac USD, he is left with 41,380 USD after two years of investment. Now only an insane person will put his money in Pakistan.  As far as expats are concerned, they have been duped many times. It’s time they also learn and stop being facilitators of establishment and politicians by introducing them to lawmakers in respective countries, lobbying for them or moving them around. Be Pakistan’s voice in real sense of the word. This hybrid system of governance could have worked if establishment and politicians continued to deceive people as they successfully did for past many decades.
Interesting to recall how denial of reality cost us in the past. Between 1969-1971, every 14 August, people in West Pak were made to believe via state propaganda instruments (radio & PTV) that people in East Pak were also celebrating  Independence Day with the same fervour. Whereas, East Pakistan had stopped celebrating 14 August, because they thought despite independence they were poverty stricken and did not have political freedom. The person whom they wanted to see as PM had been arrested on conspiracy case. Party workers were either being abducted or went missing. When East Pak got independent, majority in West Pak were awestruck because they were made to believe that "sab acha hay" (all is fine). They claimed that few radicals/ traitors started independence movement which was an illusion created by perception management. Lesson learnt from history is, "Perception management efforts which are completely divorced off ground realities might create just illusions and the moment this bubble bursts, the price is way too heavy to pay”. But perception management party girds up its loins to deal with new challenges as fresh crop of staffers with simmering ambitions to add new feathers in their CVs, come up with new ‘intelligent’ ideas to manage the perception. It seems that we are caught in a loop.
Unless, something extraordinary happens (which we pray it should), for next five years, status quo seems to be the only way forward. Meaning thereby, minimum next five 14 August shall remain as gloomy as the one we saw today.
May Allah have mercy on the people of this land and allow us freedom. Ameen

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 6

Assalam o alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak with a gentle reminder to recite Al Kahf or part of it for protection against our enemy.
When we look around, it seems that arrival of Dajjal is in the offing. That's the half empty part. Half full part is arrival of Mehdi & Isa AS to counter this menace. However, Dajjali fitna will be so egregious that even people of Imaan shall find themselves in a fix. It would be extremely difficult to tell the difference between right and wrong. The stage is set. It seems that we are already there except the announcement of Dajjal’s arrival on the scene.

How do we prepare for such a calamity? The start point should be through awareness. Whether appearance of this fitna is weeks or centuries away, we ought to equip our next generation(s) to withstand this adversity. One such measure is understanding and recitation of Al Kahf which shall shield our Imaan as a protective layer.

Coming over to today's Ayah No 6 which is continuation of Ayah 5. Allah swt showing his mercy through compassionate natureof Prophet SAW. Mercy of Prophet is at an ultimate level. For those who out of ignorance have taken Prophet of Allah, Isa AS as his son and others who wouldn't believe, Prophet SAW was so concerned about their Akhirah that Allah swt had to intervene and asked him not be so hard on himself. Prophet SAW having seen the 'other side', knew the implications. His SAW's concerns about everyone including you and me binds us into an amazing relation. Centuries before our birth, He SAW prayed and cried for us. This makes Him SAW dear to us more than our parents and children as part our Imaan. We must also take away this lesson from His life to be merciful. We need to learn to be forgiving by raising our tolerance levels. We need a lot of tolerance in our society.
Last point from this Ayah that when people wouldn’t listen, Aqa Alaihe Salam was concerned and hard on himself quite contrary to our version of Islam where we (with little knowledge and practice of religion) get harsh on others.
May Allah help us follow Sunnah in its right spirit. Ameen

Sandhurst Commissioning Anniversary

06 August 1999 was the commissioning day (Passing out Parade) of CCC-983 (Common Commissioning Course) at The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, United Kingdom. Today is its 24th anniversary.

I had the honour to represent Pakistan and was awarded Queen’s Commission (Since Queen Elizabeth II was Regina) which was converted in to The President’s Commission (awarded by President Rafique Tartar) the very next day i.e 7 August 1999.

On that particular day the excitement was way too less but in hindsight it had been among the most memorable days of my life.

So the FAQ. What is the difference in training? Quite a lot. Marked difference was quality at RMA versus quantity at PMA.

There was no disconnect with reality. Training was up to the mark. Their motto was ‘Serve to Lead’ as opposed to ‘Men at Their Best’ at PMA. I liked humility about serving first then qualifying to lead which inspired me a great deal. However, it wasn’t the best course of action rather proved to be the beginning of the end.

Nonetheless, highlights of that year at Sandhurst were exposure, learning and confidence. Lifelong friendships from Jamaica to Thailand and Sri Lanka to Kuwait and of course United Kingdom.

Earned overall A Grade, Commandant’s Medal for Merit and King Abdullah’s Prize for Best Academic Grades among floppies and ended the year as part of No 1 Platoon Blenheim Company as Sovereign’s Platoon (Best Platoon of the course). Indeed a privilege to train with a bunch of strong lads under supervision of Capt Rickets (Royal Engineers Corps) and Capt Mecham (Royal Australian Armoured Corps).

With Capt Mecham at Blenheim Palace

Colour Sergeant Hardwick also deserves a  mention for his all encompassing persona.

It was an ambassadorial assignment and to get a thumbs up as ‘First Class Ambassador of Pakistan’ from the then Commandant, Major General A G Denaro at the end of the year was thoroughly rewarding and highly satisfying as mentioned in the report below:

With Major General A G Denaro, Commandant RMAS

Besides maintaining official journal, I also maintained another journal all year long for the betterment of my parent Alma Mater - PMA. However, it got zipped. I didn’t know at the time that only top men matter in our system. As a young lad I was impressed by things like a cadet should first pass weapon handling test before going to ranges for actual fire. Likewise, write complete range instructions before hitting the range for the first time. All field exercises were written by groups of cadets. Please note that I wasn’t familiar with the term ‘chhappa’ by that time. Platoon commanders would put up in the lines and join the physical activities with cadets because I had seen A G Denaro running endurance runs with the cadets. Just wanted my parent institution to learn from experiences at RMA.

I was envious of British Cadets’ sense of duty. They would practice drill in their own time. Follow the rules. Their comradeship was not ‘covering your mate for his wrongdoings’ rather helping him overcome the problem or get a public bashing. Sleeping on sentry duty meant withdrawal from the academy. I liked that one. And they would enjoy the weekends which I don't cherish too much because it set the wrong tone for my early years.

War history and communication skills were taught by highly qualified civilian faculty who would appear in History or National Geographic channels for their knowledge and expertise on respective subjects.

Representing academy in Cricket and Squash was also fulfilling experience. Not many leg spinners are born on British soil, so I found my spot in the Academy Team.

During my visit to the Sandhurst last October, mix feelings of nostalgia and happy memories surrounded me and today was the most appropriate day to revisit one of the finest years my life at one of the finest institutions in the world.

In front of Officers' Mess RMAS

I guess taking Sandhurst motto too seriously didn’t help. It was meant for Sandhurst Graduates who had to serve to lead in British Army whereas Margret Jones who provided welfare assistance to oversees cadets at Sandhurst for over 50 years (also a civilian) would take a jibe at me when I would get frustrated with slow processing of visas, leaves etc,’Our Army is not as bossy as yours’. Wonder what she meant by that! 🤔

All in all a wonderful year. I owe it all back to my institution. It is hurtful to see the perception among masses going south. I hope its image among its own people improves which will require sincere efforts. I would love to live the day we prove Margret Jones wrong.

3 quakes within 22 hours

 Assalam o Alaikum.

Somehow we started placing our trust in means rather than The Creator of means. We have money to control our room temperatures, so we barely look out of the window how rest of the people are struggling with scorching heat or suffocating humidity not realising it is Allah's mercy that we have money and those machine function by His accord to tame the temprature. We think, we hired the best surgeon in town but do not realize who holds his hand during surgeries. We buy reliable cars so that we reach point A to B safely not realising who is making it all possible on suspended planet held by gravity and revolving at the speed of 67000 miles per hour and rotating at the speed of 1000 miles per hour. Ayahs and Hadith flow from our mouths not realising we had to act upon those as well. We share countless moral stories to our contact list from Dawn to dusk forgetting to prostate at those hours. We fail to distinguish Halal from Haram, Riba from Beih, Facilitation from Bribe, Earning from Corruption, Truth from Lies and Right from Wrong. We are limited to our comfort zones in complete disregard to a collapsed system of governance. We claim to be Hussainis sans Hussainiyat. If following incident doesn't send shudders through your spine then something is seriously wrong; Zainab Razi Allah unha, the grand daughter of Nabi AS as she entered Yazid's court after Karbala, he (arrogantly) recited 26th Ayah of Al-e-Imran:

(3:26) Say: 'O Allah, Lord of all dominion! You give dominion to whom You will, and take away dominion from whom You will, and You exalt whom You will, and abase whom You will.

How wrong was he? How wrong are the Yazids of today from whose mouths Ayahs flow like a mountain spring.

Though we are becoming indifferent to Allah swt’s indignation yet we need to look inward and seek His forgiveness. Three earthquakes within 22 hours between 8:06 am 5 August to 5:32 am 6 August 2023 originating from two different epicentres is not a usual occurrence. Isn’t it self explanatory? Does it not indicate Allah swt’s disapproval of our remorseless behaviour. Yes, we deserve no less but we must do excessive Astagfar before Allah’s anger turns into wrath and little quakes turn into Zilzal. May Allah protect us. Ameen

Peace and blessings on Rasool Allah SAW who left us His Sunnah for protection. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to supplicate: "O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from my house falling on me, I seek refuge in Thee from falling into an abyss, I seek refuge in Thee from drowning burning and decrepitude. I seek refuge in Thee from the devil harming me at the time of my death, I seek refuge in Thee from dying in Thy path while retreating, and I seek refuge in Thee from dying of the sting of a poisonous creature."

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 5

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. We never needed protection against evil as much as now. As far the timing of Al Kahf’s recitation is concerned, it preferably starts from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday. However, we may recite it on any day of the week. Today's Ayah is continuation of  previous Ayah (No 4), wherein, Allah swt expressed His disapproval of some Christians who mistakenly took His beloved Prophet Isa Ibn Maryam AS as His son. Gravity of this conceptual error is further elaborated in today’s Ayah No 5. Difference between The Creator and the creation is immeasurable. It’s like comparing a photon with the sunlight or a droplet with an ocean or a sand particle with the desert. Besides no comparison; the sun, the ocean and the desert are finite entities with fixed shelf life.

There are two important lessons for us to take home from this Ayah. Human understanding of issues changes from generation to generation and at times gets distorted. Like anthropologists claim that early humans were monotheists (believed in One God) but over time they started looking for answers of their prayers in sun, trees, stones and fire. In short, whatever is taught to us as part of religious ideology, we must question its efficacy. And we are so lucky that our God is the only God who calls for reflection and inquisitiveness. Lucky are those who question religious malpractices albeit being labelled heretic.

Religion is perfect. God is perfect but we who practice it are imperfect rather ignorant of its real spirit. Secondly, the word Kibr is used by ALLAH swt in this Ayah for those who followed their forefathers' religious practices without applying their own mind. Also note that Kibr is derived from Takabbar i.e. Arrogance. And arrogance is direct outcome of ignorance. The same mistake committed by Iblees at the time of human creation.

To sum up, two lessons from this Ayah: we must question the form in which the religion is being passed on to us and do all we can to avoid Kibr (arrogance).

May Allah help us understand Islam. Ameen

Baba Yasin - Desi Chiropractic

Assalam o Alaikum. I have immensely benefited for my knee pain and sciatica by treatment of Baba Yasin and his disciples.

Anyone, I referred to, also followed up with rave reviews. So as Sad-e-Jaria, thought to share the details with you. You can Google him as well:

If you or those associated with you have any problem of bones (dislocation), nerves, tendons or muscles like chronic pain, muscle aches, numbness or tingling, joint pain, knees pain, twisted ankles, shoulder dislocation, sciatica, back pains (lumber or disc) and other problem for which you think you should see an orthopaedic or chiropractic, do get an opinion cum treatment from Baba Yasin and his team near Tarnol. Address details are given below.

Please note, it’s not a place for treatment of fractures or broken bones rather mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Kindly keep your expectation levels real as it’s a modern looking facility with ambience and aura rather a  typical suburban small village location, however, extremely beneficial.

I guess, it’s not a place for  ‘urban’ people because there is no coffee shop inside the facility rather free lungar (لنگر). Besides, it has to do with trust in conventional wisdom and faith which are otherwise scarce these days. City dwellers otherwise feel better when they spend heavily on rip offs called modern hospitals. Anyway, this is a debate for another day.

This individual, Baba Yasin has expertly trained his sons and daughters in this field. Women are treated by females separately.

They recite Allah’s Klam and use hands (pretty much like chiropractics) for diagnosis and treatment. They don’t ask for money rather leave it your discretion as much or less you can afford to pay.

Do take along any medical papers if previously any X-rays, MRIs, CT Scans etc are carried out. Do tally these with their findings to see how accurate is their knowledge on the subject. Also show these reports to them for better advice. Must follow their instructions regarding precautions of food, stairs climbing or weight carrying etc.

It normally takes, two to three visits for full treatment/ recovery. Like, for my knee I had to visit 4/5 times, however, my sciatica recovery took two visits on two consecutive days.

To reach them:

From M1, take Fateh Jang interchange. Move 2 Kms towards Tarnol on Fateh Jang Road

Or

From GT Road at Tarnol Railway Crossing 2 Kms on Kohat Road, just ahead of GO Petroleum Petrol Pump you will see Muhammadi Plaza (Red Cladding). Take right turn, just 150 meters ahead there is a railway crossing on this path

Now you shall be able to see Road side markings on the walls in Urdu

Baba Yasin

Place is called Pind Pariyan.

Lastly, Shifa (recovery) rests only with Allah. Even the minds of best doctors are guided by Allah swt for right diagnosis and prescription. The hands of best of the surgeons are guided by Allah swt for the right timing and precision. The marching up of doctor’s prescription with you body’s bio-chemistry is also granted by Allah swt.

May Allah keep you and your loved ones away from every disease. Ameen
