People versus state - Part 1

The scope of current political chessboard is so huge and fog of peace is so dense that it has never been so difficult to start a blog as it has become now. But we should  be able to cut through the noise of narratives and see what is good for Pakistan.
Is everything ok? The "constitutional" change of govt has settled all the issues? Or is it a classic regime change op by US?
Things are not looking good. Situation on Western borders both North (KPK) and South (Balochistan) is bad. Internal unrest has never been as intense since debacle of 1971. Not so many tears have been shed in pain and helplessness since APS Peshawar incident.
It seems like a dream come true for the  enemies of Pakistan to have been able to create the wedge between the people and the state, something that couldn't be achieved previously. Henceforth, there is no doubt that current political turmoil is about people versus state. Before we move further, let's pray that it ends sooner than later without damage. Ameen
These days game of narratives determines the game of thrones. Market your narrative better than the others and get charge of the situation.
State level narrative is that 5th Gen Info Ops are misleading people, hence anti state/ institution slogans are being chanted by unemployed youth and grumpy veterans. These yes boys will not only embarass their leadership but harm Pakistan. Paying heed to such feedback could be a fatal miscalculation.
At macro level, something extraordinary has happened next door in Afghanistan. Ragtag motely groups of Afghan freedom fighters/ terrorists (both tiltles shall work, depending upon your orientstion) brought the superpower to its knees. US' humiliating exodus in haste wounded her false pride. Seeing jaded US, Russia ceased the opportunity of its resurgence as a power broker by attacking Western stooge in Ukraine. Our heart goes to the innocent life loss in the battle. However, US desperately wants to stay relevant in regional power matrix of South East Asia to keep a check on China, stop spilling over of Isamic movement from Afghanistan to Pakistan, keep India relevant in the equation and teach lesson to the one who dared to orietate his nation with Russia and had the tenacity to say, 'Absolutely Not'. So it reverts to its non kinetic strategy of regime change without putting its 'brave men and women the harms way'. Hence, a 'non-involved' coup was deliberately planned and successfully executed. In fact, it over achieved and likely to backfire. Probably, intensity of people versus state/ institutions situation was not conceived  correctly. For US, it comes as bonus and for its facilitators a headache. I used to make fun of my US obsessed friends who would carryout analysis and draw conclusions based on US' interest or direct/ indirect involvement in security matters of Pakistan. Here I am, fully convinced based on observation, reflection, logic and commonsense that US is not only involved but calling the shots in present situation. However, this admission doesn't make me youthia, it only makes me a concerned Pakstani. Being realistic, if you ask for one reason of this mess, my spontaneous answer would be 'extention' which makes both IK for giving and chief for accepting guilty. Lion's share of mistake goes to the Chief Executive who consciously took this decision despite his reservations on Gen Ashfaq Pervez' extension. Now fixing blame cum responsibility on IK doesn't make me a patwari either, I'm still a concerned Pakistani. It remains to be authenticated whether IK gave extension or Gen Bajwa took it or both. In first case of Chief Executive exercising his authority to grant extension would make IK guilty big time whereas, latter two options change the whole perspective on the issue.
Army has niether been apolitical nor neutral when it came to politics in the country. Rather, it played better politics than the politicians by tagging along popular sentiments. The exception in given situation is that Army has gone against peoples' wishes. It raises many questions particularly when anti US sentiment is as strong as it is now. Answers to these questions in next entry, Insha Allah.
Only Allah knows the whole Truth.

Who stabbed IK in the back? Part-2

IK started getting to know the intrigue that GB was doing but he kept quiet. Meanwhile, GB called reporters for a very long session of insight into Pak-India relationship a year ago. This meeting came post curfew and missing people in aJammu and Kashmir and amidst huge international pressure exerted on India via western media
Gen Bajwa spoke for hours in this meeting and made plans of going all friendly with India. According to eye witness account,  all journalists were shocked to know that dialogue at MO level had already been innnitiated and GB had plans to take it further and hence wanted a "thaw" in the emotion of the opinion makers. There was one question asked by everyone,   why now? Why at a time when India was under pressure by the western media post 5th Aug and IK's strong stance of calling Narendra Modi, Hitler and Hindutva regime of BJP as Nazi regime, which had successfully pushed India back on defensive. Why now go for a dialogue when it's India that would benefit?
GB told this long story of how his tanks were getting old and there was scarce money to buy new ones, and how we could fight for the rest of their lives and not get  Kashmir back, like ever. Check article in UK's newspaper which says that the only person standing as hindrance and hawk between friendship with India in Pakistan was the then PM Imran Khan. IK has repeatedly said that he is not anti-India but because of bloodshed of Kashmiris, he cannot talk unless Kashmir issue is resolved.  Journalists were shocked by this reality check by GB that Army wanted to be all friendly suddenly with India.
Following week,  ISPR planned a friendly program with their favorite anchors and madethem do friendly appeasing shows for India from LoC. Seemed like GB was in a massive hurry. Meanwhile, a senior officer from PAF tells one of the reporters that GB is known in the western world as a General that will never go to war. Who benefitted with such image?
Two days after GB's longest interaction last Ramzan with journalists, IK called a few journalists at PM house and told them clearly that "there will be NO DIALOGUE" with India until and unless the heinous act of August 5th is revoked.
Message sent clearly not just to India but to his own Army Chief who could not wait
to shake hands with his Indian counterpart. Peace with India was a life long dream for General Bajwa. In his younger days, during one of his courses in a European country,  he actually wrote a piece of friendship between India and Pakistan, making "certain quarters" taking notice. This dream of Gen Bajwa's of making history in his own way was exactly the same dream that Mian Nawaz Shareef had, since a long time. This time it was the General's dream vs IK's strong stance.
So IK had to be removed!
Meanwhile IK started getting too cosy with Chinese, GB travelled to China and ensured he got the news of his great welcome in China with guard of honor,  printed and published in prominent places with help of his pet ISPR .
What happened in Afghanistan in August was with assistance of ISI, but when Gen Faiz made a silly mistake of becoming too prominent in Afghanistan by flashing his tea cup in the air and chiding a US reporter "that all will be well', this gave General Bajwa the much awaited opportunity to start turning his comrades against GF. The drama of DG ISI witnessed by all, in reality GB wanted a hand picked person at the all important position of DG ISI, who could help him cultivate his plan to bring Shareefs back into the political fold and not spill the beans of his plan to the prime minister as was consistently done by GF.
Meanwhile all the help IK got for legislation was via Gen Faiz hence his removal was inevitable and his transfer was announced without informing the PM. Maryam Nawaz did not even hide her pleasure at the departure of Gen Faiz as she stood with a kid in her lap for full media gallery at the convention of missing people and announced bad days would be over once GF will be posted out.  It's all on record.
With one master stroke of his pen, GB isolated GF forgetting that Maryam  Nawaz was the orchestrator of Dawn leaks, and it was Army vs PMLN and Maryam Nawaz not GF vs Maryam Nawaz. At some unfortunate moment in history, the COAS had narrowed down the larger chess board of the big battle of taking Pakistan further into future with no baggage from the past into  personal clash of egos. The impression he gave to Army was as if it was GF vs GB. It never was. It was always Shareef's vs Imran Khan, old system vs new system. Purana Pak vs Naya Pakistan.

Gen Bajwa broke the nationalistic shield that Pak Army got in the form of firm patriotic PTI. One page was a problem for Pakistan's enemies. For years, Pakistan had tensions between civil military, giving a perfect opportunity to arch rival India to mock us through their anti  Pakistan rants on electronic media.

It was after years that Pakistan had been working as a state much to the chagrin of Pakistan's enemies.
Once GF was gone, it was count down for IK. In the backdrop, another important development was taking place. Army leadership promised air bases to the US to help them keep an eye on Afghanistan, a tricky situation which could lead Pakistan right into the lap of terrorism which Pak Army had eradicated with utmost sacrifices (check stories in New York Times, Washington Post and Reuters – all suggesting those developments). It appears now, that Pakistan's chief executive PM Imran Khan was kept out of the loop.
Getting interesting, ain't it? Final Part-3 is on the way.

Who stabbed IK in the back? Part-3

According to a NY Times story, CIA director travelled to Pakistan and he was told by GB that Pak Army was ready to cooperate in this new phase of war on terror, providing all essential strategic and non-strategic aid including the prime prize of giving Pakistan's airspace and bases.
However there was a problem, and which was  this ONE man, IK. Meanwhile IK realising his COAS is making this deal behind his back, gave the statement to a HBO reporter...Absolutely NOT, deterring the plans of Gen Bajwa and the Americans.

The rest is history.
Now US also realised that this one man was the problem in their designs for the region. So, they sent this message to Gen Bajwa for helping the opposition in the upcoming Vote of No Confidence.
The message was picked up by the agencies and given to IK. PM called GB and asked him about it.

GB with his gift of the gab convinced IK to remain silent until the upcoming OIC conference was held in Islamabad. The argument was that Pakistan could not raise voice against the US while it was practicing a magnanimous diplomatic exercise like the OIC conference.

In addition, Russia's trip had also taken place with full support of GB. GB was in loop before going, during the trip and even at return. Yet, unfortunately a double game was played with IK on Russia trip. After giving full support to IK and heavily encouraging IK to visit Russia, Gen Bajwa sought help with the ISPR who called their pet reporters and "tipped" them with information that the PM had decided to embark to Russia without the consent of Gen Bajwa. Hence, a misconception of solo flight which it never was.

Meanwhile clock was ticking and GB was taking no action on the said infamous letter, left with no choice, IK decided to go public yet never embarrassed his COAS.

Even in his interactions with journalists throughout March/April, IK never uttered  a word against COAS or Army.  During one of the meetings, every journalist coaxed him to lengths to come to reality, they told him that there were clear signs which meant that there was an elephant in the room but PM was refusing to see that elephant. According to meeting with journalists, the journalists also told IK that the whole narrative of GB being 'neutral', in reality entailed his active support for the joint opposition, yet IK refused to say a word against GB.
However, at one point IK said: "I know each and everything but I will never embarrass my Army because that will only make enemies of Pakistan happy and will only damage our country...I will not do that."

That's why IK never tried hard enough to buy back or lure PTI MNAs or allies as he knew the deal was sealed with the strong local orchestrator of this game.
However, at that point IK had full confidence in Supreme Court. That's why the one sided draconian decision of SC which became totally blind to the actual circumstances came as a shock and a heart pain to IK.
According to an officer (Major) retired from Army, "SC decision had strong Bajwa footprints everywhere.... surprisingly the language seemed military as well".

The fatal mistake made by the script writers was one in an otherwise flawless CIA plan of regime change in Pakistan.
The flaw was that they underestimated the public power that IK had.
In meeting with journalists,  IK said: "We got many shocks, local bodies, by elections surveys all showed that we were unpopular. They made a mistake of thinking people had left me."

So, now all IK has...power of Allah as well as that of public. Will that be enough? The deed has been done. He has been voted out. Phase one of regime change plan successfully implemented. The phase 2 includes a nasty campaign against IK to prove him a corrupt and an incompetent man, target his family, possibly ban PTI through foreign funding case and do a massive PR exercise for General Bajwa. The planted story of BBC which was cosmetically rebuked by ISPR, was also an attempt to malign IK. They are already trying to stifle all the voices in favour of IK by witch hunting all kind of media. Also, a ferocious campaign has been in action to discredit the theory of the letter and conspiracy. So what options does IK have?

He said: "We will fight", he is fighting. Seems like he's already burnt all his boats.

Shame on those who call him narcissist,  do they know who he really is? His whole life has been a mission to help his countrymen. If anyone fits the definition of narcissism, it's none other than Maryam Nawaz with whom GB struck a deal. And they call him corrupt with a menial 'tosha khana' scandle where he did nothing beyond law. IK has been raising funds all his life. He has sold many such gifts in the past for his hospital and university and he did the same by legally buying things. He broke no law. If anyone is answerable,  it's one man General Bajwa, who has single handily taken Pakistan into utter chaos. Now, we may know who stabbed Siraj ud-Daulah in the back? And why Imran Khan reminded us the story of Mir Jafar?

Its time that people will have to take charge of their destiny. May Allah protect Pakistan

Who stabbed IK the back? Part-1

On 12th April, Army circulated a post in its circles – False Flag Plus IK (Rebuttal)

This message being disseminated giving a fake narrative of how Army is neutral and in fact they tried to save Imran Khan. Please be weary of such a piece of misleading information.
It's a fact that Army tried to take credit for everything that IK's govt ever did. In fact it was Army that gained from the full perception of "one page" and nationalist politics that was prevalent in PTI's time. It was a PM who stood by his Army...giving them full support. It was this open trust given to Gen Bajwa by IK that allowed voices like Maryam Nawaz, Gul Bukhari, Hussain Haqqani, Taha Siddiqui and Ali Wazir subside. IK did everything to strengthen his Army,  even now when he knows who was the real wolf in sheep's clothing, IK is still not going all out like loud mouthed Nawaz Shareef who gave open threats to Gen Bajwa and Gen Faiz to reveal state secrets, not naming Kalbhushan Yadav, and telling us "problem was inside our house".
Also, it was because of this full confidence given by IK to Gen Bajwa that he started getting larger than his shoes. First thing, he started pressuring IK for, was to go to IMF, despite IK's much resolve to not do that...he pushed IK into the decision. Secondly, he brought TLP to pressurise IK so that he doesn't go all out against Mohammad Nawaz Shareef (MNS) and company  (remember Gen Bajwa was always  MNS's guy, those who know Gen Ejaz, should know that well, should also have exact knowledge how/when/where the deal was cut with Shareefs by Gen Bajwa).
So, the time when Gen Bajwa took charge was a time when Army brass was hell bent in getting rid of Shareefs. Bajwa was handpicked by Shareef and ambition was what he had in abundance. He needed time to make postings and appointments in Army to tame them accordingly. He could not save MNS completely because of the pressure exerted by the Army brass of that time,  but he could deliver in a few years provided he got an "extension". Bajwa offered two things to his "selectors"; the Shareefs:
 1. Gradual release of pressure and court cases
2. A way back into power by proving IK a failure.
Hence started the pressure tactics for this two-pronged strategy.
In his very first meeting with journalists, the new PM told anchors of Geo and few other channels, that GB is asking him to let MNS go but he doesn't want to.
The new, straight and relatively simple PM had no idea what was the real game yet he kept on reiterating publicly, "main NRO naheen doonga". Had anyone realised why the poor man kept on shouting that again and again? He was giving the message to GB. That's precisely why Maryam Nawaz mocked him and said, " Who are you to give an NRO?"
So when IK didn't listen, a nasty game was played and GB gave full support to Maulana Fazlur Rehman to put pressure on an upright IK. Check the dates. GB successfully cut a deal and allowed NS to flee under the garb of the first dharna.
Meanwhile GHQ started rumours of "magic of Banigala" and a constant mantra that the new government is useless. This mantra was accentuated in unison by the opposition which hated IK. IK resisted giving laxity to anyone but Army started putting it's weight to let every thief go scot- free.
There was a general consensus to portray this govt as a failure and acting as if GB himself was doing everything while in reality he was cutting the roots of the new government. GB tried his best to let Maryam Nawaz go to London too  but by that time IK had started understanding the game a bit. GB almost allowed SS to leave Pakistan, only to be stopped by IK at the airport. Military under GB signalled the opposition to bring dharna number two with Maryam. Maulana FR and Bilawal all acting as his puppets. Under the garb of this pressure,  he got his extension.
Has any clever person ever asked this question to themselves that if Mian Nawaz Shareef was actually ousted with the help of General Bajwa, why in the world PMLN came in parliament and gave an extension to GB? Why? Not only did they give an extension but assured another extension gateway as well.
Or another question,  How come the anchor Imran Khan forewarned in Dr Moeed Pirzada's show that a deal had been struck and MNS would be leaving for London on health grounds? The clip is still available and it was said months before MNS fell sick and then left the country.
Now, started the PDM season and Bilawal and Maryam were promised a fair share in elections of Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK. When the then DG ISI refused to be part of that conspiracy against the elected govt and he allowed the election to be fair, it was a problem for General Bajwa.  This resulted in Gen Faiz getting closer to IK and distance sprung between GB and GF and GB and IK.
Wait for Part-2 for more revelations.

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 60

Assalam o Alaikum.Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. Like body, soul for its nourishment also needs Quranic vitamins. Vitamin K (Al Kahf) is one of the most important supplement for soul and Juma is the most suitable day for its weekly dosage.
Al Kahf contains four major stories. These stories are also called stories about four major trials. First story is about our heroes, 'The Men of Cave' that talks abut trial of Imaan. Second story, 'The Men of Two Gardens', highlights the Trial of Wealth or materialism. Third story, 'Musa and Khizar AS', is about the trial of kowledge (or lack of it). Final story of ,'Zulqarnain', is tells us about the trials of Power which shall culminate in Armageddon.
Today we start Rukuh 9 from Ayah 60. Al Kahf is laden with meaningful stories. So far we have been through two major and two minor stories. In first major story, The Men of Cave,  Allah swt has set the bar for us to follow in times when Tauheed is under atrack. Are we not going through such tumultuous times? Second major story is about 'The Men of Two Gardens', which talks about growing dependency on material means and weakening of faith on The Creator of means. How intently we worship material god day in day out? Are we not facing the same challenge now? Two minor stories covered are story about 'Insha Allah' (Ayah 24) amd The Story of Genesis (Ayah 50) which occurs seven times in Al Quran.
Third major story of Al Kahf begins here from Ayah 60. First protocol of Quranic Stories is that these are not stories told by eloquent storytellers during long Arabian Nights rather by The King of Heavens and Earth. So brace yourselves for some life changing individual and society building collective lessons from up coming story of Musa and Khizar Alaihuma Salat o Wassalam. Very briefly, Musa AS was asked about the most knowledgeable person below sky and in sheer naivety, he told his people, who else than Musa AS himself. Upon this, he was guided by Allah swt to reach the junction of two seas to meet someone more knowledgeable than him. So he set off with his able aide (most likely Yusha Ibn Noon). This is just the beginning of yet another captivating story of Al Quran. We shall discuss further details next week.
Only Allah knows the whole Truth.

Cause of US Coup in Pakistan

Nasira Javed Iqbal daughter-in-law of Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal and retired Judje of LHC

I will tell you what crime you committed Dear IK. I have been asking why IK had to be removed immediately rather than wait for 16 months to complete the term. So here is the answer.

To understand this first let’s cover two concepts

1) What is Petrodollar. It’s an agreement signed between King Faisal and President Nixon in 1974.

Saudi responsibility was to convince all OPEC countries to sell oil in US dollars and not accept any other currency or gold. All proceeds from sale will be deposited in US banks or Federal Reserve. (Then there is a lengthy formula how the OPEC county do withdrawals. We can go over it some other time) This increase the demand for USD because for any country to buy oil they first have to buy USD. This arrangement keeps USD strong.

In return Saudi currency was pegged at 1 USD = 3.75 SR, the Saudi economy may do good or bad the conversation rate will remain same. They will not face devaluation. Second US guaranteed that House of Saud will remain in power, no regime change.

US responsibility was to make sure none of the opec countries opt out of this arrangement. Iraq and Libya renegade and we all know what happened.

2) What is Indian rupee-ruble trade singed between India and Soviet Union (subsequently Russia) of 1953.

For Indian purchases from Russia they will pay in Indian Rupee. This increases the demand for Indian rupee and the currency remain strong.

For Russian purchases from India they will pay in Ruble. This increases the demand for ruble and the currency remain strong.

An Indian bank will open a branch in Russia and a Russia bank will open a branch in India to facilitate trade. There are safeguards built in so neither country do not cheat (we can go over these some other time).

This arrangement bypasses SWIFT. Please note, it is very important to understand that this deal occurred in 1953 before the petrodollar deal in 1974.

IK was the first Pakistani PM to do a Pakistani Rupee-Chinese Yuan deal in 2019. This deal covered semiconductor, transformers, broadcasting equipment. US was not happy, but let it go because it never included oil.

IK was in the process of doing a Pakistani Rupee-Russia Ruble deal for oil in 2022. Remember Petrodollar deal is dated 1974. This is a no, no. US cannot accept this because if other countries follow suit USD will weaken and US economy will come down to EU level. No more superpower.

If IK would have succeeded in doing within next 16 months, even at the expense of loosing the next election Pakistan would have come out of slavery. Hence he had to be removed immediately. He left US no choice.

IK should be thankful that he is not sitting with Saddam Hussain and Qadhdhafi in heaven. US has given him a second chance, but if he is determined not to avail then only God knows what will happen to him or Pakistan.

If IK is successful in getting this through in his second term, this constant devaluation of Rupee (1 USD = 180 PKR) will stop, Pakistan will start paying IMF and conversion rate recover.

Pakistan is at a crossroads:
Can end up with Iraq & Libya
Can end up with Sri Lanka
Can end up with freedom
