Al Kahf - Ayah No 98

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. Time to connect with amazing Al Kahf. This  Blog series on Al Kahf is token contribution towards extensive works carried out on the subject. In previous interpretations, the rampart sort of barrier/ wall/ dam built by Zulqarnain has been attributed to Wall of China or part of it. Likewise, some declared it the wall between Derbent and Daryal, two cities of Daghestan in the Caucasus, the land that lies between the Black Sea and the Caspian. No matter where ever this barrier on earth had been built, how is it that it is undetected to this day if we consider use of latest satellite technology in the domain of remote sensing. Satellite remote sensing is considered as an increasingly important technology for detecting underground structures. Now take for example the advert of company named 'Planet'. Planet has revolutionised the earth observation industry with the highest frequency satellite data commercially available. Planet’s data is transforming the way companies and governments use satellite imagery data, delivering insights at the daily pace of change on earth. They have a fleet of over 200 earth imaging satellites (the largest in history) which takes images of the whole Earth land mass daily. If we don't take these   technological advances/ capabilities into consideration while interpreting Al Quran, then we are leaving room for doubt in tech-savvy minds. By the way, coming generations  are ought to be tech-savvy. 

Let's examine translations of the same Ayah No 98 by different translators. Yusuf Ali translated it as: 

He said: “This is a mercy from my Lord: But when the promise of my Lord comes to pass, He will make it into dust; and the promise of my Lord is true.” 

Another translation stated:

 (Zulqarnain) said: ‘This is mercy from my Lord. But when my Lord’s promise (of the Last Hour) comes (near), He will (demolish this wall and) level it with the ground (i.e. it will be reduced to dust particles). And the promise of my Lord is bound to come true.’

If we continue with our interpretation of this barrier being portal entry/ exit point into that land where Gog Mgog came down to create mischief then focus on only one word in this Ayah 98 دَكَّآءَۚ shall help. It has been translated as 'He will make it level', and in above two translations as, 'He will make it into dust'. Now recall that by amalgamation of hot iron and copper a blockade was created which actually was the strongest barrier against electromagnetic waves. And removal of this barrier by the will of God may unleash Gog Mgog on that planet and on prescribed time on our earth as well.

Advisory to IK & PTI supporters

 PTI Leader & upbeat supporters are advised to exercise caution while celebrating dissolution of Punjab Assembly because leader has a bad habit of boasting (micro level) victory in a battle like a (macro level) victory in war and supporters are too ostentatious. 

You still haven’t sized up your enemy properly. People you are up against, are way too crook than you think. Recall how they ousted you eight months ago. 

It appears that the tables are turning but PTI must display grace in victory and take the country out of this quagmire. Talk less, deliver more. 

Please start behaving like a statesman. Next time say ‘absolutely not’ in your heart. Even if you don’t speak it up, we know what you mean. Identify thin line between bravery and stupidity. All we ask you to stay silent most of the time. Trust honest young leadership in the country. Stop relying on ’electables’. Watch out for the black sheep in your ranks particularly moles of establishment. 

Make peace with establishment. If you are a reality, they are a reality and if you can, outsmart them while in power, like Bajwa outmanoeuvred you. He is gone. His reign of hypocritical terror is over. Those who obeyed him did wrong. But in hierarchical system, top man and his whims matter. Show some magnanimity, forgive them except those who planned & executed murder of Arshad Sharif. Only point is that the leader should have enough vision to see the elephant in the room (establishment).  And be wise enough to take lead from Sulah Hudabiya (make peace). And finally, make a move when in good strength to affect the change. 

Stop throwing people under the bus, show some ownership. They aren’t expendable items. Stand up for people like Shahbaz Gill and Swati. Your full weight wasn’t behind them. Keep the house in order, stop being an international figurehead or leader of Ummah. Miles to go. While you were busy doing that “they” pulled the rug from under your feet. You were receiving accolades for speeches in UN while your own party menbers were being sold out like cattle. Speak less, speak smaller jargons, don’t play religion card too much, just deliver and when you deliver, it will all make much better sense. This nation is behind you because they don’t have an alternative as they struggle with the plight of "dearth of men'. Identify, friends from foes, your series of ‘honest mistakes’ have cost us a lot while you failed to recognise snakes up your sleeves even in your household. This nation is so behind you that they are ready to overlook your ‘all round performances of past’ except cricket field. Keep family life separate from affairs of the state specially Tosha Khana etc. As legislators, focus only on legislation. Do us a favour, if you really want to serve this country, do legislation on everything in conformity with modern day demands. Be accessible to people of your own party. Treat them well and listen to them. Less arrogance will help. Kids listen to your speeches, use better language when you are venting it out on your opponents. Yes, you have taken bullets, loads to abuse and defamation attempts but remember you had retreated to Bani Gala with your diary that day but this nation was out on the roads the very next day till this day. It is a unique honour for a political leader & ex PM. Now be the leader they expect you to be.

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 97

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. May this Juma and rest of the week be loaded with happiness and peace for you. Ameen

Al Quran is a cosmos of wisdom and knowledge wherein Al Kahf has its own shining place. The more we ponder over its content and message, the more intriguing it gets.

Today's Ayah No 97 is about inability of Gog Mgog to pass over or penetrate through the barrier (of iron & copper) built by Zulqarnain with assistance of the nation complained about their mischief. 

It is hard to reconcile with the fact that Gog Mgog with unusual ability to create mischief couldn’t go beyond this dam like barrier if it were to be a physical iron-copper wall. Why couldn't they go across this barrier from its sides or choose to take some other path/ route to reach that land unless we take this barrier as a portal entry point. In the same context, if we read this Ayah without previous interpretations in mind, ut says Gog Mgog couldn’t pass through or penetrate that electromagnetic portal barrier due to its composition as discussed last week. 

May help us understand His message correctly so that we could guard against (visible & invisible) evils. Ameen

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 96

Assalam o Alaikum 

Juma Mubarak. Let's seek refuge of Allah swt from all evils i.e. iblees, dajjal and their associates to the safest retreat of Al Kahf, The Cave of Hope.

In today's Ayah No 96, to prevent Gog Mgog entering into their land, Zulqarnain asked that nation to arrange for iron and copper. First, he leveled two high points (Arabic word صدفین) which is translated as mountains, cliffs etc for convenience), then asked them to blow until iron got red hot and then poured  molten copper over it. Again, it is construed traditionally as steel wall with slippery copper top making it impossible for Gog Mgog to scale. As traditional myth, since that time Gog Mgog are trying to negotiate that wall. If not a myth with anyone, I grew up with same imagery because Imam sb told me so. However, detailed description of this creature in Ahadith does not support this notion.

Let's see how basic sciences explain this coming together of hot iron and copper.

A piece of iron ordinarily will be attracted to a magnet, but when you heat the iron to a high enough temperature (called the Curie point), it loses its ability to be magnetized. Heat energy scrambles the iron atoms so they can't line up and create a magnetic field.

Data transmission through copper involves much more signal loss, especially at higher frequencies. The higher the frequency of electromagnetic waves through a conducting copper wire, the more the carrier waves travel only at the surface of the material. This physical phenomenon is known as the 'skin effect'.

So, we can assume that the barrier built by Zulqarnain at a particular high point was to resist electromagnetic waves at portal entry point into that land. Now relate this Hadith of taking to high points for refuge towards the end of times and recite Al Kahf extensively. 

Please note that scribe is not a scientist nor have qualification in Quranic interpretations. This is just an attempt to understand Al Quran/ Al Kahf by parting from traditional thinking (with complete respect for hitherto works on the subject) on the subject. Because, if our coming generations don't find relation of Quranic Truth with their modern way of thinking, they might go adrift from their core.

Review of 2022 at new year’s eve

 For you it might be the beginning of new year, for me it used to be the same but now its 8 Jamadi-us-Sani 1444 AH. Doesn’t matter, if you are happy at the tick of the clock to midnight into new year then Happy New Gregorian Year. I did celebrate many new year nights in western style including one at Trafalgar Square London and now I wonder why?

Didn’t have any plans to write but nonstop fireworks in Twin Cities for over 25 minutes now have forced me to review this activity and the year we left behind. In retrospect, if we realise losses versus gains, the losses weigh out gains so heavily that we wouldn’t even think of celebrating let alone this wasteful activity of burning phosphorus and TNT adding to air and noise pollution and disturbing people (elderly) in the middle of their sleep. What is there to celebrate? Have we achieved anything except international certification of corruption and beggary. You know how you treat a roadside professional beggar. This is how nations are treating us. And we have the guts to burn so much of money in fireworks!!! 

2022 was by far the best year on personal account because I finally have been able to diagnose Pakistan’s problem. Those on my hit list whom I thought were the real villains including politicians, clergy, judges, institutions etc have slipped down many places. It turns out, it is my love, my institution army which is the root cause of every problem we face today. Practically, a heartbreak. In past, it would blow my fuse when a set of politicians and people would talk against Army. I would take on people from MQM, Noon League, Asma Jehangir, Ayesha Siddiqa, Pishtin etc. They would always whinge about Army not letting the institutions grow and as counter argument we would always be fed that all of them were anti Pakistan serving foreign agendas. Ahan, so what’s the solution? Just need one leader who who has some integrity and this nation will rise. And Imran Khan, we were told was The One. He was allowed limited access to power and kept under check all the way. Ousted and replaced by the most corrupt (as was drilled into our heads in past three decades). By the way this by no means is a pro-PTI blog, please read it as it comes to you without any preconceived assumptions or framing. 

After regime change, we were expected to upgrade by automatic software update but operating system of many Pakistanis (including veterans) didn’t automatically pick up the latest version. It wouldn’t sync with the our system. The misadventure of April 2022 regime change has unmasked the true ugly face of army leadership in this country. I wish it didn’t happen like this. I wish I didn’t have to write all this.

The more you research from mid fifties till this day, it has always been US who maintained control over Pakistan through senior army leadership. We can’t blame US for it. Being world superpower, she would like to maintain hold/ stranglehold on most of the world. Problem starts when their wish becomes our desire. They implement their designs through senior military leadership in Pakistan. 

First understand the difference between senior military leadership and the military. And if you understand that you will feel as hopeful as I am after this analysis. I’m not connected with any ‘silent soldiers’, so I’ll give you some hypothetical stats. As we know army hierarchical system is pyramid like structure. Army might be one million in numbers but senior leadership consists of 25-30 men from league of extraordinary men who are not only untouchable but enjoy unequivocal power in this country. This first tier is so loaded with power and money that can easily blind anyone specially hailing from an insecure and bhooki nation as we are. Top man with four stars has around 25 three stars including 9 Corps Commanders (sadly condescending words are being used for corps commanders starting with letter “C” like corrupt, crime etc). Next is 125 odd Major Generals who don’t matter except how close they are to next two tiers. Next around 500 Brigadiers who don’t matter at all except their connectivity among top three echelons. Below these (one million minus approx 650 men up to brigadier rank) are totally expendable items. In first two decades of service, only those are corrupted who have tendency towards corruption (this equates to proportion of corruption in society and how many us are not corrupt?) and other half who get to see the real face of upper tiers due to nature of their employment. However, remaining are the real lions. They are the best of men on God’s earth. They don’t fear death. They work like mad. They can achieve the un-achievable. And that is where the hope lies. If at all one honest man gets through this filter of top men unnoticed by Americans, fate of this nation will change Insha Allah.

I’m not obsessed with US. In fact, I used to make fun of some people in my circles who would find traces of US conspiracy in everything but 2022 has changed it all. US runs the puppet show in this country through its embassy and consulates. If someone could ever know details of meetings between ‘notable’ military & political men with US officials. Recall, wiki leaks when even Molans made an attempt to be given a chance of Premiership in Pakistan. Look at the fortress of US in Diplomatic Enclave, Islamabad. Do we have any fort or university as large as US embassy in our capital? Are those thousands and thousands of staffers here in Pakistan in love of biryani or charsi tikka? 

They need to keep check on China and in doing so Pakistan. For that they need stooges in Pakistan just like they did with USSR using Afghan Muhahideen through Pakistan Army. Now they need Pak Army again to operate in their favour against its national interest. Whenever, I ask ‘the most learned men in Pakistan’ (obviously military) why being US centric? Has it benefited us in past seven decades? What we achieved by this slavery? Their answers would vary from sanctions to F-16 parts to strangest possible explanations, most interesting being ‘you don’t know’. I don’t know anything but I do know where we stand in terms of progress in any walk of life. Get out of US shackles slowly and surely. And please stop deceiving and confusing Chinese, identify your right friends and make a move in the right direction. 

For next year and years to come, there is only one prayer that we get freedom from Americans and their representatives in Pakistan. Ameen 

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 95

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. Let's immerse in mysterious Al Kahf for individual and collective benefit. 

Today's Ayah No 95 is continuation of conversation between Zulqarnain and the nation he came across in his third journey. In previous Ayah 94, the nation complained about mischief of Gog Mgog (یاجوج ماجوج) in their land and offered Zulqarnain to pay  if he could build a barrier to stop them. 

In reply, Zulqarnain showed   contentment over what his Lord had ordained him to do. Note that Gog Mgog not even lived on their land rather they would descend from above through possibly a portal which needed to be closed down. So he asked them to assist him with full strength to build that barrier. 

Interestingly, in this Ayah word ردما has been used which has been translated as 'Dam' in most translations. In any case, they needed protection against onslaught of Gog Mgog and a dam would serve as a barrier to prevent descending and ascension to their land. It should give us enough teason to believe that Gog Mgog do not put up in our land as well. They are most likely to come down from above through portals. During extreme duress, for the protection of Ahle Emaan against dajjal and Gog Mgog, recitation of Al Kahf at the right place & at the right time may open up portals to safety, reassuring that Al Kahf contains secret keys to protection near the end of times.

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 94

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. Al Kahf has escatalogical answers for any curious mind. End of times is around the corner and Gog Mgog (یاجوج ماجوج) is one of the familiar creatures to be unleashed during that time. In fact, today's Ayah No 94 is the only time Quran refers to Gog Mgog. Everything else about this creation has reached us through Ahadith, confirming that they exist. 

Correct answers to two questions can help us understand about them. Firstly, what time in history Zulqarnain reached the land of this creature under attack by Gog Mgog? Secondly, where exactly are they?

Whenever Zulqarnain existed in past it was prerecorded time in history i.e. thousands of years ago. Please do not discard possibility of Zulqarnain being able to time travel back and forth due to his intergalactic travels. So we assume that he existed few thousand years ago then where are Gog Mgog if they existed on our earth? Since Allah swt mentioned it and Ahadith confirmed their descending on earth near end of times, how Gog Mgog survived all this time? How is it that despite so much of human progress, we are unable to locate them on earth? Most logical answer would be that they might not exist of this earth. They might descend down from above on their appointed time.

In the end of the same Ayah, those people offer Zulqarnain expense of creating a barrier (سدا) between them and Gog Mgog. If you recall in previous Ayah, the same word (سدا) is translated as mountains because the meaning barrier didn't fit in to suit our imagination. But to put their (Gog Mgog & the nation under attack) existence to context, the best possible translation of this word is barrier. They needed to create a barrier in front of the portal between them and Gog Mgog to prevent this onslaught. Likewise, the same type of portal barrier prevents Gog Mgog to unleash on our earth as well.

Unless we look at this with a different angle, Al Kahf and other Quranic references to ET would always sound like crude Sci-fi stuff which it is not.
