The Letter, The Speech and Beyond - Part 3

Emerging scenario suggests collision of IK/ his supporters with the rest including govt machinery. But we should wish, hope and work towards mitigating disastrous outcomes of possible clash. To avoid this, we need to familiarise ourselves with the alien terminology of  'Social Responsibility'(SR). This unique Responsibility is applicable to every facet of civilised life and every individual is obligated to perform it. But for starters, familiarisation with the term would do. 

As it stands, people under oath in high offices are content not to play their part, so onus of fulfilling SR rests on mango people (عام لوگ).

Firstly, what are the choices with charged IK supporters and wide mute majority too concerned about their niches i.e. comforts of their drawing rooms, unending bread winning plans etc. We stand at the defining moment in our history. We the people can come out as winners or accept blame for inaction by leaving it for coming generations to start from the scratch. In case of latter, lion's share of the blame would go to the silent majority.

Is it possible to stay aloof of what is happening in political arena particularly when every move, decision and its outcome has direct or indirect ramifications for us and our generations to come.

For IK's emotionally charged supporters, watch out for your actions. Pakistan shall always come first. Controlled emotions are the best among all genres of emotions. 

For silent majority, in order to protect them, you might have to come out of your niches. Your actions, discourse and pens can bring the change you always longed for.

Having discussed SR, team captain needs do some introspection as to why his team failed? Unless he has the guts to accept his shortcomings in this match which is already into last over, the same may recur in next match before we know it. For this, one more part of this series is on the way.

Since Part 1 covered No.1 problem. Now let's discuss side kicks. Note that in order of precedence while grading intensity of problems we face today, even international establishment comes after own.

News circulating (purposefully) about reconciliation and finding middle ground is requirement of joint opposition not IK. Resigning or agreeing on any kind of joint reconciliatory process would amount to an NRO. It would have damaged IK and would have legitimised heinous acts of all (dirty) players in this game. It is logical to believe that IK just wants to sit back and let the whole nation see the ugly faces of traitors (within his party and in the opposition). Why should he not do it? End of the day, he is into hard core political business. And against general perception on his political acumen, he has accrued max political mileage out of prevailing scenario. He has called one lac) people to Capital on Sunday, 3rd April - VONC D-Day. They are not going there to celebrate traitors' victory neither solemnly offer Fateha on The Great Betrayal. Probably (and rightly so) it is time to squeeze life out of this unreal, unholy and unnatural alliance. After success in VONC by the 'United Opposition', they’d wish it didn’t happen. May be people out of rage, exuberance and frustration take the traitors to task resulting in physical clashes. Degree of these clashes is hard to predict because it all depends on how IK has perceived this move. Whether he lets them lose or deters his opponents with controlled aggression by keeping it short of boiling point or keeps it mild in Dharna Style. Whatever, the methodology, total paralysis of Govt incumbent is expected, leaving them with no choice but to call for early elections.  

Some interesting queries shall arise out of aforementioned courses of action:

Would coercion/ physical clash/ Dharna force The Axis of Devils to call early elections?

'In the larger interest of the nation', will this lead to or becomes need of the hour for Military to take over? Btw what an option!!!

Will there be a revolution like situation - we may choose the color of our revolution later i.e. red, purple, blue etc?

All remains to be seen, however, what is certain is loads of turbulence in days and weeks to come.

Bottom line, this VONC will not only turn on its head but backfire. IK will emerge much stronger than before. He is not a novice anymore. After elections this year, greatest hurdle in stable political Pakistan i.e. November retirement shall also take place. So you see, problem No.1 is at the heart of it all.

The Letter, The Speech and Beyond- Part 1

If you are anti IK then you must be in a festive mood. So revert to Geo News because this blog won't satisfy your frustrations. 

If you are on IK's side, then read the message between the lines of his speech. If you can't then allow me to unravel the message for you.

If you are neutral, you still have a stance which doesn't make you an animal but a Kofi (اہل کوفہ), however, it is better to stand with Pakistan even if you have to stand with the lesser evil.

Establishment abandoned IK. The dilly-dallying to prevent him from going public with his speech on The Letter was happening by design. Idea was to delay so much that he  was sent packing before this speech came to pass. Why intentional delay in speech by the establishment? Because, it would be like putting the cat among the pigeons with IK on ascendancy. I feel sorry for undue stick Army gets for decisions made by people at the helm of affairs only to satisfy their false personal egoes. IK was not likeable anymore. Root cause of this mess could be traced in Chief Executive's romance with The Extension. It was a mistake, it always proves to be counterproductive whether out of merit appointmentof COAS in Zia & Musharraf or last two extensions both appointee and appointed suffered more so Army,  people and country. While contesting last extension in a blog, I went mild thinking that it may work this time around. Not to be. As personal interests shrunk between declared and undeclared Kings of the land, undeclared changed colours. Delayed postings etc didn't help the cause. Page got torn apart. But I personally feel ashamed how enthusiastically Army puts the ladder against the wall for new political faces and how dispassionately pulls it back leaving newbies stranded on the wall. This game should have never been played. It must not continue. I'd expect generation next to resist this temptation and desist shameful past practices of rescuing and drowning the same prople. Enough on establishment. Let's examine other game players in next entry. It is coming right away because we are running out of time for making our minds as to where we stand and what next, particularly neutrals.

Predicting the unpredictable political landscape

Let’s analyse most unpredictable political mind game and dare to predict on 26 March instead of waiting in anticipation for the magician to pull the rabbit out of the hat just to utter oohs, wows and awws on 27 March. 

Parliamentary democracy stinks and it couldn’t get any worse. Peoples’ representatives (not anymore) have made a deal with the devil. Don’t think outcome of VONC will have any positive for the country though win-win for IK.

IK with countless flaws and mistakes was running out of steam and popularity. At one point, it seemed he would get next term but with problem after problem and poor decision after decision, hopes of getting next term were plummeting rapidly. Along came VONC saga. It puffed new life in his politics. Suddenly, his disgruntled supporters like scribe found themselves absolutely clear in their political alignment when they had to choose between Axis of Evil (SS-AAZ-MFR) and IK.

Three scenarios. 

IK wins then he will have same numbers (incapacitated Govt). Besides blackmailing allies and sellable electables, the sword will keep hanging over his head. i.e. crippled Govt with threat of VONC. Conclusion: IK’s win in VONC will not do as much good as other outcomes given below. 

If PDM wins, it can’t govern. Unnatural, unholy and unclean alliance will only exhaust its viability in tug of war for more power, more corruption, more relief from cases, more every negative thing one could imagine. They are all drooling over little bit of money accumulated in Govt treasury over the last four years under extremely unfavourable economic conditions and escape from jail. How romantic!!!

And will IK let them bask in Isloo Sunshine? Highly unlikely. It will pave the way for his next tenure with heavy mandate. 

Third scenario and most likely one. Dissolution of assemblies/ resignation and early elections. No institution, no establishment (local and international), no mafia, no judiciary, no power hub, no stereotype media, nothing meaningful in this country seems to favour him. Probably IK has opted for ideal scenario by going to people and people have embraced him so enthusiastically that he can't believe his luck. Every other stakeholder has abandoned him but people have not. It was people who brought him to power in 2018 and it is people who will bring him to power with greater majority to rule without any strings attached. So early elections are what we are going to have which seems good for Pakistan. Btw the expendable Punjab Assembly is going. Even if this prediction cum opportunity goes begging, at least the prediction that suits Pakistan the best is shared with you.

Only Allah knows the whole Truth.

Surah Al Kah - Ayah No 57

Assalam o Alaikum. Ramadan Karim in advance and Shab-e-Juma Mubarak on this blessed evening. 

Today's Ayah 57 is 3rd of 8th Rukuh. Rukuhat are divided as per the subject  matter. Normally, a Rukuh in itself contains complete message with an introduction, main subject, lessons & conclusion. Take this Rukuh for example. It started with Ayah 55 by introducing limitations in human nature i.e. problem identification. Solution to the problem if left to human understanding had propensity to go astray. That is why next Ayah (No 56), gave solution to the problem i.e. deputation of Messengers as warners of hell and guides to heaven. But those who have made up their minds not to accept the Truth, would do anything they could to undermine Truth by fabricating falsehood.

This Ayah 57, further elaborates misery of those in state of denial. Those who intentionally turned away from the Truth are unjust to themselves. Allah swt has devised a flawless system of justice, according to which 'whatever (particularly wrong) happens to us, we ourselves are responsible for it'. The denial party knows what they have sent forward i.e. denying the Truth despite knowing its authenticity. So Allah swt increases them in their conscious choice of denial by turning their hearts and ears Truth Resistant. Look at the mercy of our Lord, He still keeps a slight window of hope open by saying, 'lest they understand' and return (توبہ). Finally, unless they want to return to the right path (صراط الذین انعمت علیھم), You (Prophet PBUH and callers (داعیان)) may call them to guidance, they won't be guided ever.

May Allah Karim keep us among the Guided. Ameen

موجودہ سیاسی ہیجان کا حل

 ایک ہفتے سے غصے کے مارے برا حال تھا کہ پاکستان کا کیا بنے گا۔  باہر نکل جاؤں اور چیخ چیخ کر لوگوں کو بتاؤں کہ بہت بڑا ظلم ہونے جارہا ہے۔ پھر خیال آتا اتنے سالوں سے قلم سے اپنے لوگوں کی خدمت کی کچھ لکھوں ایسا کہ بات بن جائے۔ شروع کرتا پھر رک جاتا۔ کبھی انگریزی کبھی اردو،کتنی ادھوری تحریریں رہ گئیں یہ سوچ کر کہ "اقراء" کا امر بھی لوگ بھول چکے ہیں جب سے چرب زبان میڈیا اور VLog سننے کو ملے۔ آج کل کون پڑھتا ہےلکھا ہوا۔ مایوسی اس قدر کہ سوچنے لگا اگر ایک بار پھر ایسا ہوا تو ملک ہی چھوڑ دوں؟ہم ایسے ماحول میں بچے بڑے ہو گئے جہاں کرپشن ایک قابل قبول امر رہا۔ اوپر سے لیکر نیچے تک سب میں مقابلہ تھا کہ کون کتنا مال بنائے گا جیسے بھی بنے۔ 

آج پھر بچوں کو بتانا مشکل ہورہا ہے کہ کیا ہورہا ہے۔ ہم انہیں کیا درس دے رہے ہیں؟ کیا ضرورت محنت کی یہ دیکھو ملک خداداد میں مبینہ طور پر۲۰ کروڑ کمانا کتنا آسان ہے۔  اگر اپنی قیمت نہ لگا سکے تو کوئی اور راستہ نکال لینا۔ 

اس اضطرابی کیفیت میں کوئی امید بر نہیں آرہی تھی تو میراثی میڈیا نے مسئلے کا حل بتا دیا۔ اور ان کی بات سے استدلال کا طریقہ  بہت آسان ہے۔ جو یہ کہ رہے ہوں اس کا الٹ کرکے دیکھ لیں اسی میں پاکستان کی بہتری ہوتی ہے۔  

دو دن پہلے سندھ ہاؤس میں فاتحانہ انداز میں داخل ہونے والے  اینکر اچانک پی ٹی آئی کے کارکنان کے اسی عمارت پر دھاوا بولنے پر آئین اور قانون کی پاسداری پر چلا اٹھے اور ان کے اس ردعمل میں ہی موجودہ سیاسی مسائل کا نسخہ کیمیا پنہاں تھا۔ یہ لوٹے اپنے پچھلے انتخابات سے دس دس گنا زیادہ ووٹ عمران خان کے نام پر لے کر آئے ہیں۔ زندہ ضمیر کی آواز کا تقاضا تھا کے مردوں کے میدان مستعفی ہوکر اگلا سیاسی لائحہ عمل تشکیل دیتے نہ کہ چوہوں کی طرح سندھ ہاؤس میں دبک کر چند میراثیوں کو بلا کر اعلان کرتے جب بلی تھیلے سے نکلنے کو تیار تھی، جب حکومت کو اپنے ذرائع سے سارے معاملے کا علم ہو چکا تھا۔ 

 جی تو میراثی جو کل تک خوشی کےشادیانے بجا رہے تھےاچانک سندھ ہاؤس پر دھاوے سےمضطرب کیوں ہوئے؟ ان کی اخلاقی حالت کو مدنظر رکھیں تو پنجابی کی  ضرب المثل  ممد ثابت ہوگی،”رب نیڑے کے گھسن”۔ 

اور یہی حل ہے۔ ان کو اور ان کو ہڈی ڈالنے والوں کو پہلے گھسن دکھائیں اور اس سے بھی کام نہ بنے تو ایک آدھ لگا جائیں۔ کیا کہا ! سیاسی ہیجان کا حل مزید ہیجان سے تجویز کررہا ہوں اور لوگوں کو انار کی پراکسا رہا ہوں؟ جی صد فی صد درست۔ آج اپنے حق کے لیئے نہ بولے، نہ نکلے اور ایک آدھ گھسن نہ رسید کیا تو آئندہ آنی والی نسلیں بھی ہماری طرح ڈرائنگ روم میں بیٹھ کر کڑہتی رہیں گیں اگر ڈرائنگ روم بچ کئے اگر میرا یہ پاک وطن ان راجہ  گدہوں کے خونی وار سہ پائے تو

Vote of No Confidence

My generation saw corruption flourishing from top to bottom because elected representatives of people had no values. Corruption was so rampant that it became,an acceptable norm. Change in this political culture was unthinkable. Sum total of our political milieu was hide and seek among two parties and military regimes.

Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 56

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. Time to take benefit of this blessed day and special Surah.

Today's Ayah No 56 is continuation of previous Ayah wherein limitations of humans nature like his fiesty nature and avoiding the truth until he sees the writing on the wall. After problem identification in Ayah 55, solution of the problem is given in 56 i.e. debuting Prophets as warners and mesengers of good tidings. For a creature so susceptible to manipulation and vulnerable to temptations, Allah swt The Chief Architect and The Master Programmer of this Universe, has made guidance arrangenents. It also confirms the logic of appointing Messengers from among humans to testify the message and emphasise why we actually need the guidance. No matter how much progress we have made, the value system invogue are ethics in practice which may contradict with morality and religion. So many educated (in worldly affairs only) and liberals (fanatics like religious extremists) are victims of deceptive traps of ethics (what is acceptable as a norm). For example, most abused and selectively used ethic of freedom of speech. We all knows how West condones disrespectful behaviour to our beloved Prophet PBUH and how it reacts to holocaust. 

To free us from these confusions and contradictions of adaptive ethics, Allah swt sent Messengers with clear cut Message. However, people who don't want to believe will not just settle on it rather they would do anything they can to invalidate the Truth. And how would someone invalidate the Truth? Yes, by fabricating falsehood. You hear some of our own confronting Allah swt's executive orders on things like capital punishment. Capital punishment is the guarantor of life. Where there is no fear of death on killers, they indiscriminately kill people cold blooded in numbers without remorse. Such news are common from the societies where man-made ethics superceded Divine Code of life. 

May Allah swt keep us on the path of those, He guided. Ameen

Surah Al Kahf- Ayah No 55

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak.

Today we discuss 2nd Ayah of Rukuh 8 or the 8th Speech of Al Kahf. First Ayah (54) described fiesty nature of humans. Current Ayah No 55 narrows broad observations to specific details of human nature. Close look at Ayah divulges that there are two things that waylay our journey towards Allah swt thus preventing us from furthering in Imaan. 

Firstly, social order or social pressures like family, financial, professional, peer pressures etc. Ironically, in overall scheme of things, none of these pressures matter because in the end, every man/ woman is for himself/ herself. If we don't feel pressure of Allah swt's presence or pleasing Allah swt is not our top priority then our whole process of setting precedence is flawed. Like everlasting battle between good and evil, another battle continues between ethics (what is socially acceptable) and religious values. Take for example, the ritual of Mehendi in Pakistani Muslim marriages. By resisting this completely unnecessary but apparently unavoidable (for some) function of marriage, we may experience social pressures. First in the line is immediate family. In such a scenario, remarks like, 'What will people say?' 'Education, company or religion has put him/ her astray', are common. Those who don't like us in family (The Khandan) and extended circle of friends would tag us as miserly (Kanjoos). So under this social pressure, inadvertently, financial pressure starts to mount to throw a sumptuous (lavish & vulgar is minimum acceptable level) Mehendi party whether we can afford or not. People in professional life may whisper during smoke breaks or over a cup of tea that he/ she has extreme religious views. So, you see how every possible pressure is experienced for resisting an ethical value not part of our Deen. Also goes to show that it is easier to go with the flow and extremely difficult to swim against the current. Funny enough that each one of those pressures is farce. None of our family members, friends or colleagues would be there when we face the accountability of our deeds.

In second part of this Ayah another specific human shortcoming is highlighted that unless we see the writing on the wall, we tend to deliberately ignore or procrastinate taking the hard path i.e. the path of Imaan. Naturally, living life of Imaan is not going to be easy. So as long as possible we avoid thinking about living the life in which Allah swt is our priority. Ironically, if The King of Heavens of Earth who created success is not our priority then what kind of success are we pursuing? He swt grants success. With such messed up order of priorities, what kind of success should come our way?

Now let's back to the start of this Ayah and we should feel lucky that we are reading this text. Nothing shall prevent us from holding on this Book and from seeking Allah's forgiveness. when the guidance has come to us. How simple is the alchemy of life i.e. being grateful to Allah swt and seeking His forgiveness and how gull are we that we try and find the same in confused literature like Paulo Cohelo's Alchemist.

How perfect are the observations of Allah swt on human nature and who knows the product better than The One who created it. May Allah swt help us overcome our shortcomings. Ameen

Surah Al Kahf - 54

Assalam o Alaikum. Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. On this blessed day, may Allah Karim increase his blessings upon you.

Today's Ayah No 54 marks the beginning of 8th Rukuh (8th Speech of Al Kahf). First Ayah of every Rukuh is introduction to the subject of speech. Keep in mind The Speech Writer, though we can't completely imagine the infinite with our finite minds. The Teacher himself assures that The Book contains every kind of example for us to take lead on diverse subjects of life. Every possible subject is covered in The Manual of everything including life (creation, during life and Afterlife), history, science (maths, numerology, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, embriology, quantum physics etc) sociology, morality,  economics, governance etc. The list is too long to capsulate all subjects. Besides, students of The Book would already know it. Every branch of knowledge stems from Quran. This doesn't mean we stop exploring other avenues of knowledge rather every new study, invention and exploration is confirmation of what is already alluded in The Book.

Second part of Ayah points towards human nature.And who knows human psychology better than The One who invented and introduced us to the subject of Psychology. At the time of creation, Angels brought up this point,:

وَاِ ذْ قَا لَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلٰٓئِكَةِ اِنِّيْ جَا عِلٌ فِى الْاَ رْضِ خَلِيْفَةً ۗ قَا لُوْۤا اَتَجْعَلُ فِيْهَا مَنْ يُّفْسِدُ فِيْهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَآءَ ۚ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَـكَ ۗ قَا لَ اِنِّيْۤ اَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ

"And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know.""(2: 30)

And the Angels submitted to the wisdom of their Creator. Today's Ayah confirms the same human vulnerability to dispute. Just take example of Russia-Ukraine conflict. The world was overcome by COVID-19 for over two years. However, the moment fear of pandemic appeared to be easing off, fear of bombs started to take over. And then we as specie have the tenacity to claim of evolution, progress and values. The tone is set for the Rukuh to come and later Ayahs may help us understand the purpose of this introductory Ayah.

May Allah swt keep us safe from Pandamics and more so from humans (bombs). Ameen

Ukraine conflict & media

Thank God that we have access to free medium like Social Media and options in electronic media e.g. RT, TRT etc. allowing us to differentiate news from propaganda. A generation before in wars like 1st Gulf War in 1991, we could only see the world through lenses of the Western Media which is biased, hypocritical and has double standards. BBC, DW and VOA radio channels were considered the most authentic news sources. Rest was easy, they indoctrinated our elders and we grew up angry with Russia, Arabs and Islamic ideology. Our generation graduated in Western ways through Hollywood and pursuing dreams by attempting to either shift to west or adopt that life style. How ridiculous that if you didn’t wear Levi’s jeans, Polo shirt, Nike shoes and couldn’t speak in British or American accent, you were not modern. Hence, our ‘Porn Savvy’ generation was anything but clear in its orientation with its true ideology. But some of us did survive this onslaught due to strong bonding with roots. 

Above thought train set off from what Western media is wanting us to believe on Ukranian war and how different things are on ground. Do we really need to mention Pakistani Media. One liner would suffice. Just consider them extras in movie being played by the Western media. War is no good. Russia-Ukraine conflict is no exception. At least, this time we get to see more clearly and make better judgement on the matters. Western media would in this situation have never shown us that Mr Volodymyr Zelensky was an ardent Jew and a stand up comedian. Put a joker in charge of a country expect no less than what has befallen Ukraine. 

Ukrainians are betrayed when they were asked to surrender their nuclear arsenal at the end of Cold War. But the promises were not kept and in the hour of need, Boeing has cancelled MoU regarding supply of services and  Disney has cancelled premiering its new movie in Moscow. Really!!!

Now West and US would like the war to prolong as much as possible until it becomes financially unviable for Russia.  They would love to suck Russia in and then through stalemate bleed it to surrender without getting directly involved. But the price is too heavy for Ukraine and it’s people to pay. And Russians are quite dispassionate rather cold bloodied when it comes to achieving their war objectives. They are living up to their repute and pursuing their goals ruthlessly. Ukrainians have committed the gravest mistake of their political history by putting a Jew in charge of the country. As if being Jew wasn’t enough, Mr President is a joker as well. Coming days, Russia, in order to achieve its objectives may get more lethal in her approach to the war. Some liberals might like to ‘rise above’ and not approve of this ‘Jew Paint’ in this piece. Well, Ukrainians did the same mistake and you can live with your ‘humanity’. Jew media has got its reward in case of our confused liberals.  However, my source of everything (including theory of everything) is The Book and Jew is synonymous to trouble not to mention his deep rooted hatred for us till the end of times.

Surah Al Kahf- Ayah No 53

Assalam o Alaikum  Shab-e-Juma Mubarak. May this Juma bring all the blessings your way.

Alhamdolillah, today after a year of weekly Ayah wise series on Al Kahf without a miss, we reach the end of 7th Rukuh (Speech of Allah swt). Before we discuss today's Ayah, let's recap this Speech. At the back of the story 'Men of Two Gardens', Allah swt took us to the story of genesis. Exodus of Iblees from The Court of Allah swt was too much for him to take. But bear in mind that it was happening as part The Grand Design. Who know the nature of all creation better than Allah swt. Iblees had short temper, low IQ and carried evil attributes deep within him. He could pretend to be pious (like most of us) but he couldn't hide his true nature from his Maker. On exposure and expulsion from The Court, he avowed revenge from mankind. His clarity of objective is in sharp contrast with human obscurity on purpose of life. Current Speech is a stark reminder that if we follow Iblees and his associates, we may end up in closed street from one end and hell fire at the other. It is mercy of Allah swt that He has given us warnings time and again in His open letter i.e. Al Quran.

Today's Ayah is not only the last Ayah of this Rukuh but seems like end of the road for those who follow misguided misguiders. Just read the Ayah carefully, it depicts height of helplessness. There can't be worse state of hopelessness in entire human journey (Creation of Rooh, Sleep, Life, Death, Final Disposal) that anyone out of us is staring down hell fire and nowhere else to go. Now is the time to mend ways. It is greatest mercy of Allah swt that His current speech may end with a warning but Al Quran gives hope after hope in Surah after Surah time and again. 

Let's pray that we read the warning signs along the way and don't fall prey to the misguiders before its too late. Ameen
