A word on fall of Damacus

Damascus fell again, enthralling Muslims across the world .

In reality, it was a change of faces. 

Victory is the sweetest of fruits. 

Takbeer (Allah o Akbar) is our favourite chanting.  

Damascus is as old as human civilisation and it must have seen many highs and lows.

But nothing compares to the low when Umayyad Mosque saw mutilated bodies of Khanwad-e-Rasool SAW. Back in 2008, when I visited Damascus, somehow I didn’t enjoy my stay there.

Fast forward to today,  pumped up Mujahideen who toppled Alawis (purely judging on cardinals of Islam who are anything but Muslim) are vying to conquer Al Aqsa in their fiery speeches. 

Reality is that Syria has not fallen, Bashar ul Assad’s reign has ended. 

US has replaced the devil we know with the devil we don’t know. 

It had become necessary for US (last favour extended by outgoing Biden Administration) to strengthen Israel in ME and break the axis of resistance (Shia belt from Iran-Iraq-Syria to Lebanon (Hizbollah) since Syrian patron (Russia) is embroiled in Ukraine. 

And before anyone gets carried with my reverence for Al-e-Rasool and mention of Iran by pasting a Shia tag or bias on me, Iran is just a scarecrow of US in the region, whenever they need her, Iran starts flexing her muscles and when the purpose is served, they put her back on the ice. Soon after, ceasefire in Lebanon and weakening of the axis, another US pimp in the region (Ardogan) pushed HTS (hitherto Al Qaeda which was created during Arab Spring by US) to takeover Damascus but never put so much weight behind it in past fifteen years as it did this time around. DeJavu of Afghan Russian conflict of 1980s, wherein US created Mujahideen-Al Qaeda- Taliban who won over Russia but then they turned to US and were declared terrorists, hence, GWOT but then they negotiated with them. Resulting in ousting of Afghan govt, evacuation of US forces from Afghanistan and establishment Taliban’s Islamic Emirate. Wonder, how long it will take US to declare HTS a terrorist organisation. If you could get your head around this hall of mirrors, you would see that in post colonial era geography rarely changes rather regimes are flipped to suit the interests of US.  

Here, a mention of Pakistani hopefuls for change is important. Be informed that as long as US is happy with the way things are in Pakistan and establishment is compliant and fully synchronised to bluff China, change shall remain a romantic dream. No harm dreaming, idealists feed on revolutionary ideas just like these ‘Mujahideen’ at Ummayad Mosque chanting Takbir and surface surfer zealot Muslims across the globe. Muslim rulers whether despots, tyrants, armies, clergy or democratically elected governments are compromised and they remain in power as long as the serve the interests of US.
