Eid ul Adha (1447 AH) Mubarak

 Please accept a heartiest Eid Mubarak. 

While animal show parade is coming to an end and meat lovers’ imagination is immersed in Eid Day meat dishes and subsequent BBQ, let’s quickly recap the spirit of the event. 

Allah swt really loves over those who put their trust in Him. Who else could top the list than Ibrahim AS. His unquivering trust in the command of His Master made his act of supreme sacrifice eternal. To top it all; it was a mutual submission by father and son. Let alone reenacting, just imagine putting a sharp knife to the neck of your firstborn. Ibrahim AS passed the test with flying colours and to this day we celebrate by going through Hajj rituals and offering animal sacrifice. 

If anything, this global commemoration shall remind us, it has to be about developing understanding and reviving the Sunnah of Ibrahim AS ie unwavering faith, unshakeable trust and submission to Allah’s command. 

Also remember sacrifice and sufferings of Gazans. They have unmasked the ugly face of ruling elite across the globe and wipe off the blurring of our worldview with their blood.
