Assalam o alaikum. Juma Mubarak. Al Kahf day is back after seven days. A humble reminder for recitation of Al Kahf or part of it today. If possible try and develop understsnding of this amazing Surah.
As usual, this Ayah (No 8) is sequel of previous Ayah(No 7). Earth/ universe was created out of nothing and it is only logical to conclude that at some point in time, it will definitely come to naught. Just the way it all began out of nothing with one word of command by Allah swt, it will all end in to nothing in no time. Like hand grenade, an appointed angel on an appointed time has to pull the pin of gravity and the whole universe will collapse. In the meantime, however, Allah swt has adorned this earth for us to enjoy our limited sojourn over here. And in this Ayah, Allah swt is exactly indicating towards insignificance of this world. No matter how attractive it may appear to us, how precious we think everything is therein, Allah swt will turn it into a barren ground i.e.Death followed by The Judgement Day,. Hence, be ware of real worth of this life. Don't attach your heart to worthless part of the journey of our soul. We all appeared in examinations in life but no one did or could fall in love with examination hall, no matter how cool and cozy it may be. Only those who are well prepared for the test, stay calm in exam. And they are the ones who stay calm on the day of result. Good preparation of this ongoing test as mentioned in previous Ayah is in good deeds. Good deeds only happen when we go out of our comfort zone. Take for example Fajar or Qayam ul Layl; in each case you have let go sweetest part of sleep. To help others in kind or cash, you have to let go of your money and time. So on and so forth.
May Allah guide us to understand the value of this life in its true spirit and we invest our time and resources in correct pursuits. Ameen
