Surah Al Kahf - Ayah No 9

Assalam o Alaikum. Ramazan Karim. Juma Mubarak. A polite reminder for reciting Al Kahf or at least first and last Rukuh on this blessed day.

All signs of Allah are amazing but some are wonders. The story of men of cave is one of those wonder signs of Allah. But unfortunately, we have totally lost sight of our real heroes i.e. Wonder Boys of The Cave’. We and generation next are only familiar with crappy Hollywood wonder girls and boys. We have learnt to believe fictional stories crafted by human minds inspired by the devil to prepare them for the arrival of Dajjal. Having complained about this mess, we have certain obligations towards fighting this indoctrination. Refreshing this remarkable story told by no one else but The King of heavens and earth himself, Allah swt is extremely important. This story is about standing up for oneness of Allah in times of raging polytheism and deviation in deen of Allah. Let’s take ourselves in year 250 AD. Adoption of Christianity by Polytheist Romans commissioned a newer yet deadly variant of religion wherein beloved Prophet Isa (Jesus Christ) Alaihe Salam was declared son of God or God incarnate. The concept is so confusing to fathom: if Jesus is God then who is the one in heavens. And if they are two, the God and the son, then Oneness is already compromised. Thank Allah swt for giving us gift of Surah Alkhlas which settled this confusion once and for all.

Firstly, the relevance of story with our religion: Chronology is important to understand the whole matter and its relevance with our religion, present times and end of times. Men of Cave slept for 300 years which means they got up around year 550 AD. So, the stage is set for humanity to revert back to its lost heritage i.e. Oneness of Allah. It just needed one last logical manual to stick to it till the end of times. And our Beloved Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him graced this world in year 571 AD. A time when Arabs were mired in the plague of polytheism.

Secondly, the resemblance of story with our times: Look around there is Godlessness galore. Catholic Church has tightened its clutches around Christianity. New sects of Christianity continue to emerge. Except Orthodox Christianity, all of them are misleading humanity from its real course i.e. Oneness of Allah. The only difference from year 250 AD is that sicne second half of 20thCentury, polytheism has joined hands with atheism. Check out the consistency of Oneness against changing ‘isms’ of devil. They had problems with it then, they have problems with it now. Its more like COVID variants, each new strand is more lethal and spreads even faster. Despite its lethality, it remains a pandemic. And like COVID-19, we still find people questioning whether it is a Pandemic or a conspiracy. Dajl (Deceit) has been able to take strong roots. Confusion has never been so captivating that despite having full and free access to the Truth (The Book), we love to immerse in uncertainty and fictitious falsifications. Access to unnecessary information through media and internet are fundamental reasons.

Thirdly, relevance of this story with the end of times: After years of study of Al Kahf, the scribe has reached this conclusion that there are four stages to the end of times. All four stories bring us one step closer to the end of times in order in which they appear in Al Kahf. We shall build our case as the Surah progresses. However, like it is mentioned above, the first stage i.e. attack on Oneness of Allah has been initiated in second half of 20thCentury. How it connects with other stories and end of times, it will be clear in due course.

It will be much appreciated if you may raise any query or give feedback.

Only Allah knows the whole Truth.
