Assalam o Alaikum
Juma & Eid Mubarak. Festivities of Eid and pain of Palestine remind us that things for this Ummah are only going to get tougher till the end of times. Let's not get absorbed in celebrations and keep these stark realities in view. This still doesn't mean we get bogged down and gloomy. Just need to keep it real.
So please find time to recite Al Kahf today anytime as much as you can.
Now let's focus on today's Ayah No 11 which is sequel to previous Ayah wherein our heroes, The Kahf Boys go in total submission of Allah swt by seeking His guidance in their affairs. It was a brilliant move based on strong faith. An unwavering faith undeterred by needs and desires.
So, He swt sends them to sleep. Sleep itself is an amazing phenomena. Each time we sleep our souls take a flight and each time we wake up its like returning to life. It actually demonstrates concept of death and life after death but we tend to forget or ignore it. Even beloved and great Prophet of Allah Musa AS asked for practical demonstration and Allah asked him to put pieces of bird on different spots which got back to life. So yes, life after death is the most difficult event in chain of faith keep firm belief in. And when we talk of Oneness under attack, be sure that people are running out of faith in life after death or they want to. Hence, Allah swt selected Kahf Boys to demonstrate His power i.e. Be and it is كن فيكن. Secondly, Life after death by sending them to sleep for hundreds of years (309 to be precise). Lastly, set their act of sincerity for Tauheed as benchmark to follow till the end of times.
May Allah give us a fraction of strength from mighty faith of Kahf Boys, as we need it ever so much now and in times to come. Ameen
