Al Kahf time.
Weekly recitation of Al Kahf may protect us now and ever from the Fitna of all types.
This Ayah comes at the back of Ayah wherein Kahf Boys wake up from deep slumber and were unsure of the time they spent in sleep. Despite very short and precise style of The Master Story Teller, Allah swt, covers all necessary aspects of the story. In this Ayah, three points come to fore.
Firstly, Allah swt confirms that The Messenger of Allah is only passing the message as received, that is why Allah swt addresses Him PBUH and assure him that whatever this word is Truth. That every other version of Al Kahf Boys is untrue. Before this the story was told by men, now by the King of Heavens and Earth Himself. Question arises, why?
Answer is in the second part of this Ayah. Since Oneness of Allah swt was under attack by merger of Polytheist Romans with cornered Christianity. Christianity suffered deviations at the hands of Jews. Be certain, no religion on God's earth is exempted from Jews' deviant plans including Islam. Right now, tauheed is again under attack by Atheism. Coming back to Allah swt vouching for Al Kahf Boys, it was strength of their belief which made them dear to Allah swt, so much that He swt made their mention eternal.
Lastly, Allah swt rewards them with the most precious gift in universe, guidance. Not only that he increased them in guidance. Guidance is not a choice but a special gift from and you don't need deep religious knowledge and ibadat, just need sincerity of heart. Sincerity of heart is something no one can hide or pretend to have, because Allah swt is the only confidant of what goes on in our hearts. Change of heart is change of everything.
May ALLAH swt bless each one of us the same sincerity of heart as Al Kahf Boys possessed or at least a fraction of it. Ameen
