People versus state - Part 4

Advance Eid Mubarak People and its time to wake up and reclaim your freedom. Other institutions Judiciary, legislature and Administration had lost credibility long ago. Now the  situation is much worse when Army is being placed in the same category. Hitherto, people didn’t speak this loud on Army’s past sins and economic empire because deep down they knew however bossy and political, Army would always uphold national interest which let them kinda overlook its shenanigans. But now it is different. People not only feel betrayed by Army leadership but they also feel they can’t trust them anymore for safeguarding national interest. To make matters worse, the word is out that establishment is all set to launch Saad Rizvi who right now is busy raising his stakes by abusing imported Govt. Once he gets the deal of his choice, he will turn his “attention” towards PTI.  Then expect the chaos. Already political polarisation is showing its effects. Everyone is viewing Medina incident with his/ her own lense with thick coating of political affiliations. Resultantly, PTI supporters see poetic justice in it whereas rest of them (big coalition of small people in size and stature) see it as violation of the sanctity of Medina/ Haram. In reality, everyone is playing poltics on this one by highlighting 'effect' without probing the 'cause'. Unless we address the cause  of current unrest, we are likely to keep going in circles. But fanatics like TLP element can take advantage of such incidents and hit hard to hurt like it hurts.

So far every other tactic has failed to dent IK’s popularity and resolve. ‘They’ plan to use religious card against him as mentioned above. Yet again there is hope because previously quiet & disinterested educated/ enlightened majority of this country has started rallying around IK. Their number and impact is way bigger and superior than ignorant masses stimulated by sold out mullah using Religion Card. As pressure point of Establishment, it worked out quite well in the past but not anymore. Pakistan is destined to change and this lowest point in its history when all institutions have joined hands with thugs shall mark new beginnings. Staying quiet will not change anything. Look at Ahsas Program, it was being spearheaded by an accomplished cardiologist Sania Nishter a PhD from King’s College London who Co-chaired  WHO’s High-Level Commission on Non-communicable diseases along with the Presidents of Uruguay, Finland and Sri Lanka. And the list of her credentials and achievements on ground is astounding. And she is replaced by a fake BA degree holder Shazia Murree who in her first week in office has ordered massive new inductions in the program. Soon the rate will be out for each appointment, those interested after reading this just contact her front men, pay price and have people inducted in this ministry. Shouldn’t be any surprise, this is how it worked in past four decades except past four years. This just the top of the iceberg, a case of one ministry and things are getting back to “normal” everywhere else. They have to make hay while the sunshines and they know that sunshine is not going to last long. 

So stay quiet. Stay in comforts of your homes. And continue having heated political debates with friends and colleagues. Will it change their minds let slone the fate of this country? Nothing will change unless we all come out of our niches. It will take some sweat even blood because reclaiming freedom is not home delivery by Foodpanda. There will be price more than time and money. Some generation has to be the luckiest of all who sacrificed its today for the tomorrow of generation next. It could be ours else Netflix is our value time pass and being colonised is our legacy.
